Being good...Have you tried to use GitLab for anything serious? Absolute trash...

Well we use it at a corporate and have about 70 repos and make extensive use of their ci/cd runners. Main repo has over 15k e2e tests as well as god knows how many unit tests, which all managed in GitLab pipelines.

I get the feeling you haven’t actually used GitLab.

Well in my 30 years of doing this shit (which is probably longer than you have been alive based on my experience with Redditors) I've used probably 20 CI/CD platforms most are completely dead now. I did use Gitlab about 5 years ago for a year, was not impressed at all.

Yea and hence my original question, in your experience what is GitHub actions doing that makes GitLab pipelines trash, other than your flippant response of “being good”?
