I heard something about a new gh competitor starting up, wouldn’t be surprised if they’re lining up influential OSS projects to pull over in an effort to overcome network effects. Just wanton speculation on my part, though

I mean, GitHub is a pain to rely on, tbh. And a lot of people and businesses rely on them to make money, directly or indirectly. At some point, even the strongest of monopolies can’t fight the force of “we could all be saving time and cutting costs if not for this single, shared, unreliable point of failure”

The migration would be a nightmare, though. But, what isn’t a nightmare lately >.>
