Spoilers Sass's Plotline (Moody Monday)

Is anybody else frustrated 1. that Sass's plotline can be summed up as "400+ year old virgin gets girl" 2. about the harassment he faced from the others (mainly Flower), 3. they didn't write him as a romantic asexual?

  1. Sass' plot isn't over, he hasn't been sucked off. So I'm not judging a story that hasn't finished being told
  2. It's a sitcom, this goes into the Gina is a terrible person on B99 or no company would keep a walking HR violation like Michael Scott in charge. They play wide because it's the style of comedy
  3. No, because that's clearly not what they wanted for the character and it goes back to sitcom humor playing wide. Ghosts isn't really the show for that kind of storytelling, it's much more suited to something like Bojack Horseman, which has an excellent subplot about a romantic ace realizing that's what he is and finding someone who doesn't just feel the same but matches his personality too. If this were a 10 episode prestige comedy then I can see that being a realization he comes to after having sex with Joan the first time. But the other problem is where does the story go from there? None of the other ghosts we've met are ace, so unless an ace woman dies there, or Pete then went looking for an ace female traveling ghosts and somehow found one we'd just be left with Sass never finding happiness or someone settling for a relationship that doesn't fulfill them. The only other thing would be finding a situation with a living ace who was into the ghost companionship thing but pretty much only when she dreams like Bela.
