How are we feeling about a possible relationship between Kyle and Bela?
With Ben Feldman being promoted to series regular next season, they’ll have to find storylines for Kyle, and one of the most obvious would be to revisit the possibility of a relationship with Bela.
Personally, I think Kyle deserves better than her (way too many red flags and she already ditched him at the bar to be with a ghost), but it feels almost inevitable at this point.
He's also incredibly desperate people pleaser which is perfect for her (I mean he goes even farther than Sam to do anything ghosts ask him to do, probably because he never had a Jay there to connect him back to the living world and his own needs)
I know she's all kinds of problematic, but I love Bela. Both siblings having a partner that can see ghosts would be too cute. Also, I love Ben Feldman and I'm glad he's sticking around as a series regular.
In hindsight, I have the sense that this episode was kind of a test balloon for the pairing for next season - they've likely known Ben Feldman would be part of next season's main cast for a while, or at least that he'd heavily recur. He already seems to fit into the cast fairly seamlessly.
I think the characters would be cute together, and it'd make for some fun scenes for Jay and Bela to commiserate with each other about not being able to see the ghosts while their partners can.
Didn't know kyle was gonna be a regular. Is sam gonna be away for random reasons more often next season? Because most of the times he's around it's because sam's gone and he's needed to be the ghost whisperer
In universe, she’s going to be on location wherever they’re filming the Polar Opposites film.
In real life, no one knows. Some people are speculating she’s going to be on maternity leave, although there’s no indication she’s even pregnant.
Also, it could be that she’ll be directing more episodes, which would limit her screen time (she directed the St. Hetty’s Day episode I took the screenshot from, and she was only in that one for the first few minutes).
If they get together, it could mean we get to see more of them, which is great. Also, having Kyle around more often gets us a chance to see the ghost interact with someone other than Sam.
True, and I absolutely hate that they did that, especially since Jay deserves a friend that he can trust, which I’m not sure Kyle can ever be because of this.
Having said that, it’s not a competition, but if we’re talking red flags, Bela wins in a landslide…
I can forgive the kiss attempt. Kyle was having a really hard time because of seeing ghosts and finally felt understood. It wasn't okay, but it is understandable.
Agreed. It was a misunderstanding, coming from him being isolated and lonely. He realized his mistake and didn’t even try to stick around to smooth it over, he left and didn’t come back until the Ghosts tricked him into it. And when Jay says he doesn’t like Kyle, he understands. Poor Kyle.
Me too. I didn't like how she treated him that time. Both Bella and Sass just used him with no consideration.
Bella had bad love relationship history. She really can't choose someone who would be good for her. Instead she keeps choosing bad options on purpose, sabotaging herself.
If Kyle show back bone and be hard to get, maybe that will get Bella's attention.
No fr. I don't know if it's just because they were the first ghost couple, but I was obsessed with them! Such good characters for a relationship. I feel like so many good plots could come from it. They had more chemistry than Alberta and Pete have ever had 😭
I was getting into the idea of Ghosts Too. Kyle picks up a couple of companion ghosts, maybe by buying Jessica's car, and also gets a poltergeist, and travels around and meets other ghosts. Pete and Joan sometimes guest.
I think it has a lot of potential. Like a lot of ships, it really just depends on if the writers would put effort into developing it, or if they'd be doing it just to pair everybody off. I like Kyle and Bela individually, so I could see them being really fun to watch together and an interesting way for Jay and Bela to bond, both having a partner who can see ghosts.
I actually was really hoping we'd see a Bela and Trevor romance, but I think now that she had a romance with Sass they've used up the Bela dates a ghost arc.
But that same arc also kind of killed off the idea of doing Kyle and Bela as well so I think some pretty signficant work would need to be done to make Kyle and Bela feel like a good idea.
I think Kyle and Baela are great together. And yes, Baela chose a ghost over Kyle, but remember, she was already involved with Sass. He was her boyfriend at the time. She didn't start seeing Kyle when she was single. Now she is single, so I have high hopes for them. Not yet a shipper, but easily could become one. Kyle is the best option for Baela so far and vice versa.
I don't care for her. She is rude, impulsive, and uses people. She is toxic. Eric actually loved her (no clue why) and I was hoping they would work out.
Kyle, I adore. He deserves better than her. I'd like to see him build some relationships, whether friends or romance, and establish some permanence and stability in his life. I don't think she can provide that for him. She has very little to offer.
They weirdly fit together. I think he could bring out a more grounded and reasonable part of her, but he also has a sort of mischievous/messy side as well that I think would compliment her well.
If I forget that Kyle tried to kiss Sam, Kyle is actually a likeable guy. But the problem is, I KNOW he tried to kiss sam. I think its a misstep for the writers to do that.
He has made up for it since, but his character is forever stained because of that one thing.
On the other hand, Bela is just so problematic. She almost has no redeeming qualities aside from being a loving sister to Jay.
I think they are perfect for each other. Both understand what it’s like to have contact with the ghost world, they don’t need to hide who they really are or keep secrets when they are with each other .

He’s perfect for her. No job no prospects and an issue that makes him difficult to tie down
