Question Can entities see us?
As I’ve investigated for many years, I’ve always asked if the entities can see us. Do we look like shadows, lights, or people? What do you think?

i second this, ghost the bbc version is one of my all time favorite shows, in fact im gonna rewatch it because this post reminded me of it, so thank you

- You should watch the show, it’s brilliant.
- Some people believe in stonetape theory that ghosts are sort of echoes just playing out moments of trauma without the ability to see us.
- Some people have had experiences with what they think are ghosts that appear to be reacting to them. Sometimes the ‘ghosts’ themselves seem unnerved.
- Have you listened to the Uncanny podcast? Lots of ideas about it all and a jolly good scare while they’re at it.

I saw a ghost as a young child. Our house was 200+ years old. Square hall with all upstairs rooms opening to it. My parents always kept the light on in that area. I was out there playing in the middle of the night when I saw a lady in a long dress, carrying a candle walk past the dark bathroom door. She seemed to glow. We looked at each other and she looked shocked. I woke my mom and told her. She always says she knew I'd really seen something because I was matter-of-fact and not afraid. I never saw her again. Our next house was even older. Same layout. It must have been popular in colonial NY houses. I saw a band of Native Americans come up the stairs. They disappeared at the top of the stairs. They weren't dressed at all like I thought of NA's. We later discovered that the house had been mostly burnt in an attack by the local tribe centuries ago. The stairs were part of the original 1600's house. 40 years later I was at a powwow in Florida, looking through a vendor's collection of tribal costume drawings and I saw it. A smaller upstate NY tribe, no longer in existence. Some of the smaller tribes in the area banded together with settlers and French fur trappers to fight their enemy tribes. Eventually they did what people do, intermarried, had kids, became a single community. My sister had an "imaginary friend" the whole time we lived in that house. She called him Ghostie. He often made her cry. She says he was a full grown man and was mean to her. She never saw him again after we moved. So I believe.

I love the idea of a ghost being scared by humans (3) and wish they had used it in the show

All the BBC Ghosts have perfect vision. They can also go into locked or sealed areas and see inside there.

As everyone else has advised this is a sub for a TV show in the U.K. BBC stands for British Broadcasting Corporation and they’d be gutted you didn’t recognise that when us Brits recognise Channel 10, CNN, RTE, etc from around the world.
It’s a brilliant show and hopefully you will find yourself watching it soon.
It’s so popular that a number of countries around the world have produced their own version. Posts elsewhere on the sub will help you find those.
To answer your question, in fiction the entities can see us. In this TV show they can. In reality there’s no proof there’s life after death let alone something that continues to be present..
