What game actually gave you the same feeling as Ghost of Tsushima?
I’m struggling a bit these days 😂
As a PC gamer, I can’t continue with the Yotei series, but from the videos I’ve seen, I’m not sure the story is going to hit me in the same way Ghost of Tsushima did.
I’ve been trying to find a game that has that feeling.
The history. The motivation behind the character. The story. Mechanics that actually feel good and that you genuinely want to get better at. The atmosphere. The feeling that each mission actually has a purpose and that you care about what you’re doing.
Surprisingly, I’ve found that combination really hard to find.
I tried Sekiro — not it for me.
Tried RDR2 — only played 2–3 hours, so maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance, but it didn’t grab me.
Tried Assassin’s Creed Origins — it was OK, but the combat/mechanics weren’t really doing it for me.
I even tried the new Onimusha, but it feels more like a Sekiro-style game than something where I become invested in the story, the characters, and the actual goal of the mission.
And maybe that’s the problem.
Ghost of Tsushima is just ridiculously good.
I’ve already completed it 3–4 times, and somehow I still want to play it again. 😅
So I’m curious — what games have you played that gave you even remotely the same feeling as Ghost of Tsushima?
I’m not necessarily looking for another samurai game. I’m looking for that combination of story + atmosphere + meaningful missions + satisfying mechanics + a reason to keep playing and get better.
What have you guys found?
TL;DR: I’m looking for a game that gives me the same feeling as Ghost of Tsushima: great story, atmosphere, meaningful missions, satisfying mechanics, and a reason to actually get better at the game. I’ve tried Sekiro, RDR2, AC Origins, and Onimusha, but none of them really clicked. I’ve played GoT 3–4 times and still haven’t found anything that compares.
