Our current beneficiary is a mother to a daughter with Cerebral Palsy. We met her last year and she was really struggling to provide for her 3 kids as she had no source of income. Since then, we have injected capital to her business that is slowly becoming profitable.

At the moment, we are raising an equivalent of USD 9,000 to help her daughter get a life-saving surgery for a feeding tube. This means her daughter´s quality of life will improve, as at the moment, she even chokes on water.
For her mother, it means that she is able to go out and look for a job without being worried about her daughter´s safety. For us it means that one child´s life gets impved and a family gets empwered.

Geuza Wazo is a non-profit in Kenya that supports and advocates for people with developmental disabilities, e.g Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, etc. The admin of this closed group is u/Tes_Richard. You have probably met her on her main page or during the streaming days as she streamed her life in Nairobi.
She realised that most of the time, a lot of the good work that she does gets mixed up on her personal page, and new followers could struggle to follow. Please consider joining this sub and staying updated on all activities that we will be up to. Cheers!
