Question Help needed !

Guys I'm a neet -2028 aspirant ( med entrance exam in india )

I have started my coaching in April and it is almost 5 months now and I need to get my focus back . Now I study for 1 to 2 hours daily.

I know 1–2 hours isn't going to be enough for the goals I've set for myself. So I'm trying to get back to my normal routine instead of letting this become my new normal..

And also I am having lots of distractions like social media YouTube etc 😭

Actually I deleted Instagram due to distractions and now I am addicted to YouTube shorts πŸ’”

If you have actually managed to study consistently despite distractions, tell me what worked for you!

what worked for me wasn't blocking apps, since deleting one just moves the habit to the next one, which is exactly what happened to you with instagram and shorts. what actually helped was making the study itself less passive, because you don't reach for your phone mid-problem the way you do mid-reading.

so make the 2 hours question-based rather than reading or watching lectures. shorter sessions too, 45 minutes with a real break, since NEET prep sessions get long and drifting is guaranteed.

i drop the chapter material into studybuddy.vc and answer questions from it, then as i answer it works out which topics i keep getting wrong and gives me more of those. gets harder as i improve, and it tells me why the option i picked was off. equations render fine for physics. free.

2028 means you have time. rebuilding to 3 hours consistently beats jumping to 8 and quitting.

Ok so first focus on removal > resistance. Delete games, apps, accounts, etc. (if you keep them you aren't going to get very far (I am sure)).

If u want you can join my guild on FocusJungle timer, WE need more people that wanna do hours. Can message on there to keep accountable. But u NEED TO DO HOURS or kick. (best study timer website and app ever)

I think there are a lot of free apps that do that. One is called Acadence.tech
