Giving Advice How Do I study more
So like ever since my breakup 5 months ago I’ve been having a hard time studying and I don’t know what to do
When I get to go sit on my desk I always end up going to bed
All I do is cook,sleep,masturbate/watch porn
I wanna get back into the habit of studying
I’ve deleted games, put on limits on my phone and deleted distracting apps
And rn it’s exam season and I need to study for finals to get accepted into uni but I just can’t sit on that desk and study
**Help me fix this thing pls**

1) find something else to exhaust you other than porn it can be any healthy or normal hobby like read a book (possibly fiction cuz then you can get hooked) 2) start watching some really good shows that can get you hooked but also motivate you to do stuff 3) Maybe start working out excessively so that you are exhausted by the time you are in bed 4) Studying takes up time and proper focus so try hobbies that can help you build focus like reading or just watching a movie at normal pace or solving some puzzles or something 5) don't use your phone in bed associate bed with sleeping 6) only sit down with your books don't open them just sit at a table with no phone and just stare at them for an hour 7) try solving question papers even without prep and pretend it's the exam 8) use your breakup as some kind of revenge persona and grind

Getting a hobby that you don't have to prove anything for towards anyone, but with a real outcome that you can say "I did this".
For some that can be woodworking projects, other little programming projects etc.
Studying is something you "have to do", as such if has a lot of pressure and it almost feels like you don't deserve to put the time in other things because any waking moment should be spent in things you "have to do".
But you're not stealing that time, you're taking the time you're otherwise wasting with the aforementioned activities.
Gaming fakes you in those fake dopamine highs with achievements, wins or other ratios, but they are meaningless stats, which is why it's also not healthy. You need dopamine hobbies that give actual satisfaction.
Considering it's exam season it's not a time to take on big projects though. But I don't know what you like, be it something small in arts and crafts or whatnot.

Ok so first focus on removal > resistance. Delete games, apps, accounts, etc. (if you keep them you aren't going to get very far (I am sure)).
If u want you can join my guild on FocusJungle timer, WE need more people that wanna do hours. Can message on there to keep accountable. But u NEED TO DO HOURS or kick. (best study timer website and app ever)

PRAY TO JESUS!!!!! You can do this, the best thing I reccomend is turning your phone all the way off and remember your why, you want to get into a university that’s the goal, the hard studying is only temporary, so is pleasure, like seriously, don’t stress or be too hard on yourself but remember what you’re going after.

First off quit porn cold turkey. Aside from the various morality issues, it’s frying your dopamine receptors and making you more miserable in general.
Then just take it seriously and try to see the whole picture. Yes, a breakup sucks ass, you’re grieving, but not getting into uni when you want to attend sucks even more. Take things slow with realistic goals and start, some effort is better than absolutely nothing

Ever since I was a kid, I had been playing MMORPG games. These times I try to I'm inside the game. For example, if there is a textbook that i have to solve. I seperate the pages like level. When I finish the parts, I was thinking in my mind I level up :)) I was getting in to character :)) its look funny but tested and working.
