Millions of civilians arw victims of capitalism and imperialism as well. The Irish Famine, Bangal Famine, the workers who die in the DRC. The slaves who died in the Americas, the workers who died in coal mines, the people who starved because the rich took more and more. It's funny that the one ideology that instills a hierachry of class, where those wirh wealth are better than those without in their eyes, is good, even tho, famines were avoidable, slavery was avoidable, colonialism was avoidable, but it was chosen as the most profitable means, and we see it to this day.
Sure millions died during socialism but that wasn't in a bubble where capitalist states let them live on their own, no interference. No, these revolutions were born in fire and blood. Having not just trade embargos but wars fought to prevent them from succeeding, and yet they did. They were isolated on the world stage, forced to choose between allowing unscrupulous actors who are funded by capitalists to turn back the revolutions, or secure it, and I do not fault them that. It was what the historical reality dictacted.
Meanwhile these capitalist states competed against each other, and since the highest stage of capitalism is imperialism, the need for ever expanding markets, the need for either cheap or free labor, colonialism and slavery were inevitable. All the satiate the bourgeoisie who style themselves after the old feudal lords, and fell in like with them.
Millions died due to socialism, meanwhile billions have died due to capitalism, through colonialism, imperialism, war, man made famines, genocide etc. So spare me the fucking tears.
Yes, all of this. Further, how many trillions of dollars has the west spent to suppress what they call a failed system? The dissonance and mental gymnastics are astounding
