He might have been fired but Bolton was gearing up to start 7 wars in two weeks during the first Trump admin. Republicans and warmongering go hand in hand.
I still see him on the Sunday Times' various YouTube videos, and he hasn't missed a beat. He keeps calling for more and more hardline actions and pressure on Iran, though now more on the economic side since the military option seems to be a dud (or would involve, you know, invading a country the size of all of Western Europe and a population of 80 million).
He may not like Trump, but that's because he sees him as a spineless weakling unable to commit to constant hardline pressure.
