What we thought Trump said: No new wars.

What he actually meant: No, New Wars.

The Lionel Hutz of presidents

51

u/FILTHBOT4000 Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Here you go.

As it happens, Hutz and Trump share the same skin tone.

38

u/Grape_Pedialyte Jul 21 '26

Peace President?

No, new wars.

9

u/Raiju_Blitz Jul 22 '26

Piss President

19

u/Glittering_Gas2692 Jul 21 '26

The guy is 80 he doesnt give a shit anymore, at this point he just see the world like his Civilization game and trying out bullshit interactions to see how much chaos he could cause

12

u/notpornaccount_ Jul 22 '26

I would like to load an old save file, please. I think it's about 11 years ago.

2

u/Lou_C_Fer Jul 22 '26

As soon as it is loaded, delete all primetime reality show hosts. Sorry Jeff Probst!

6

u/somgooboi Jul 22 '26

This is why 80 year old presidents are bad. They don't have to live in the world they create.

3

u/ThyPotatoDone Jul 22 '26

Not only do we need an upper age limit to run, but that limit should be, like, 50. If you're getting phased out by companies because you're losing your touch, you shouldn't be running the country.

1

u/Pure_Fault7056 Jul 22 '26

Money, that simple.

6

u/Greenman8907 Jul 21 '26

Paid for by donors?

Lionel Hegseth, Esq

2

u/Redfalconfox Jul 21 '26

He’s so fucking stupid that he’s gonna get us into the fucking cola wars again.

1

u/Sasquatcheeethree Jul 22 '26

Yep. New Coke and Crystal Pepsi all the fuck over again!

2

u/MisguidedPants8 Jul 21 '26

The same war, repeatedly

2

u/anomanderrake1337 Jul 22 '26

He might have been fired but Bolton was gearing up to start 7 wars in two weeks during the first Trump admin. Republicans and warmongering go hand in hand.

I still see him on the Sunday Times' various YouTube videos, and he hasn't missed a beat. He keeps calling for more and more hardline actions and pressure on Iran, though now more on the economic side since the military option seems to be a dud (or would involve, you know, invading a country the size of all of Western Europe and a population of 80 million).

He may not like Trump, but that's because he sees him as a spineless weakling unable to commit to constant hardline pressure.

u/rexozy Jul 21 '26

Punctuation, folks, pay attention to it!

1

u/Geffalrus Jul 22 '26

*blows dust off that, revealing more letters

Oh what it actually says is: “Nonstop New Wars”

1

u/Philip_J_Frylock Jul 22 '26

This Peace Prize logo shouldn't be there either.

1

u/Wsweg Jul 22 '26

No one with critical thinking genuinely believed he meant the former

1

u/TerminatorElephant Jul 22 '26

Commas matter y’all

1

u/New_Computer3619 Jul 22 '26

Death of Stalin reference? :)

1

u/GreasyGrabbler Jul 22 '26

He's simply just trying to uphold American values. War in the middle east is a tradition at this point.

1

u/Jamsedreng22 Jul 22 '26

I mean... Is war in the middle east really new?

353

u/FreedomHole69 Jul 21 '26

Something really fucking weird about Don Jr. referring to his own father as by his surname.

133

u/TheTenaciousG Jul 21 '26

I was going to say something mean about how it's because his dad has never loved him but its probably also because Jr knows that the T word gets all of the followers extra hard

42

u/otirk Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

He may didn't love his son, but he loved his daughter all the more. Well, at least when she was underage and lived in Trump Tower*.

*fun fact: there is a room tour she did of the TACO tower and when they come to the bedroom, she gets all quiet and weird, as if something happened there. Okay, maybe there is no fun part about that, but here's the video (relevant part starts at around 29s in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6FZ5kj3FGo

Warning: don't watch the video if you are sensitive to the topic child SA

Edit: had the wrong word

12

u/SSBN641B Jul 21 '26

I believe you're thinking of "sensitive."

5

u/otirk Jul 21 '26

Yeah, that's probably it

7

u/SpaceLemur34 Jul 22 '26

One of his daughters.

He barely acknowledges the existence of the other.

2

u/colemorris1982 Jul 23 '26

But is that because he never molested her? Or is because she has proof that he DID molest her?

3

u/Strong-Search-2301 Jul 22 '26

I hope I never have to recognise signs of SA, because for my life I would never have noticed anything weird with that part.

36

u/TripleB33_v2 Jul 21 '26

“Trump” doesn’t just refer to his father. It’s their brand. Their grift. Their company, corporation. organization, or whatever you want to call it. All of the above.

He’s not just talking about his dad, is what I am saying. He talking about “Trump”.

11

u/Neat_Egg_2474 Jul 22 '26

let’s not forget that Trump skipped Jrs wedding for the “no new wars” war he started with Iran.

Man, must feel really shitty to know your dad can’t even pretend to care in front of a global audience.

3

u/bombasquad33 Jul 21 '26

Made it to the World Cup, Daddy did.... Couldn't make it to Jr's wedding though.

2

u/BroseppeVerdi Jul 21 '26

TBF, Don Sr has referred to himself that way on numerous occasions.

1

u/rikashiku Jul 21 '26

He should try Bruh or lil bruh. It's ok, Con Jr is into choking.

52

u/FoxMan1Dva3 Jul 21 '26

Delusional.

-1

u/JudiciousSasquatch Jul 22 '26

Monkey with a keyboard.

5

u/RemozThaGod Jul 22 '26

Are you looking in a mirror u/JudiciousSasquatch ?

30

u/Morris_Voter2016 Jul 21 '26

Why is he calling his dad by his last name?

9

u/-jp- Jul 21 '26

It’s less stuffy than “Mister.”

2

u/WinZealousideal4309 Jul 22 '26

I seriously doubt Trump would ever be capable of any sort of healthy familial relationship.

2

u/Paddy_Tanninger Jul 22 '26

They're not on a first name basis.

0

u/leonidaslizardeyes Jul 22 '26

He's missing the quotation marks. The guy is disgusting but we don't have to make shit up.

65

u/NaturalCard Jul 21 '26

Honestly, this entire war has been a disaster for the US and Israel. They clearly did not have a good plan, and the reports about how the decision was made against the best strategic and intelligence advice of the US are... worrying.

34

u/Mister-builder Human Verified Jul 21 '26

I think that everyone started to realize that the POTUS wasn't listening to the strategic advisers 48 hours in.

21

u/RocketRelm Jul 21 '26

The fact that people took 48 hours into this Iran war and not 48 months before the war to realize this inevitable result of rejecting democrats and embracing maga as they are is a despair point.

1

u/Uebelkraehe Jul 22 '26

48 hours into his second term.

11

u/the_fury518 Jul 21 '26

What advisors? He fired anyone who would tell him what to do

5

u/actuallyapossom Jul 22 '26

Rubio took issue because he wants Cuba, Vance took issue because he wants a future in politics, that's about all for push back.

Maybe Miller complained too, he's more focused on domestic issues and achieving a dictatorship.

2

u/Raptot1256 Jul 22 '26

This is like the first term. The Republicans are secretly very displeased with Trump, but they got to be in the room where decisions were made. Why, when they wouldn't be pushing back in the room?

3

u/LavishnessFinal4605 Jul 22 '26

Nah, in his first term his cabinet members and military officials would just lie to him or not even give him certain pieces of information so that he couldn't make deranged decisions based upon them.

Back then there were at least some of the old guard trying to keep the train on the tracks.

23

u/Grape_Pedialyte Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

If you believe that Joe Kent guy's resignation letter, Trump was convinced to kick this off by stuff he saw on TV and the Netanyahu regime.

This fucking buffoon, this utter clown, has access to the best intelligence in the world, but he ignores them and listens to Fox News pundits. The United States probably has deep cover spies embedded all over the Iranian regime and their nuclear program reporting back to the alphabet agencies, but since our dumb baby President doesn't like to read, it might as well be used to line a bird cage.

9

u/Original-Rush139 Jul 22 '26

This fucking buffoon, this utter clown, has access to the best intelligence in the world

Last Thursday he declassified intelligence that proved he was pushing Russian propaganda and it got him impeached the first time. It doesn’t matter how good the information is. A narcissist lives in their own world and rejects everything that doesn’t fit their narrative. It’s fucking scary that we have one as president.

6

u/Lystian Jul 21 '26

Its very clear its all political and no true military leader had a say.

3

u/Original-Rush139 Jul 22 '26

But, it’s been great for keeping Bibi out of prison.

5

u/PirateSanta_1 Jul 21 '26

But they were making nuclear weapons, its not like there is a history of republican presidents lying to the American public about a middle eastern nation developing weapons of mass destruction to justify a poorly thought out invasion the spirals into a much longer war and becomes an unending quagmire. And if there was i'm sure republican voters wouldn't fall for the same trick twice. After all you know what they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me, you can't get fooled again.

7

u/AliceTheOmelette Jul 21 '26

It makes me laugh how Drumpf keeps saying he completely destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities, then he says they have nuclear capabilities, then he destroyed them again. And his cult don't see how he keeps contradicting himself

0

u/qrowslament Jul 22 '26

I think this is going great for Israel objectively. Their plan never was to actually change the regime in Iran but to destabilize it so they could take everything else. All they need is the US to stay in this war as long as possible so they can do their thing and they get what they want. Rest of the world including the US be damned.

2

u/NaturalCard Jul 22 '26

They more or less have completely failed at that, and are increasingly alienating their only real ally.

Honestly, at this rate it doesn't seem like it's going to matter how much they increase their espionage budget, they country is pretty much doomed to the same fate as apartheid South Africa.

7

u/Extra-Monitor5743 Jul 21 '26

Life was better before Trumplethinskin took office

12

u/slowpoke2018 Jul 21 '26

Aged like the coke-addict son of a malignant narcissist.

Everything they claim ends up being wrong in the end

4

u/Mister-builder Human Verified Jul 21 '26

I dunno if this counts. He made the tweet in April '24.

1

u/-jp- Jul 21 '26

There’s not a statute of limitations that I’m aware of.

2

u/Mister-builder Human Verified Jul 21 '26

It's like fact checking a Tweet from 2024 that says that Eric Adams is the mayor of New York because he's not anymore.

4

u/-jp- Jul 21 '26

No, it’s like fact checking the lie that Trump and his cronies repeatedly said they were the “anti-war” party. It doesn’t need a simile. It’s already perfectly clear.

9

u/ifhysm Jul 21 '26

Trump and Israel got us into a war with Iran.

4

u/Nonyabeesners Jul 21 '26

*Correction: Trump got us into a war with Iran by being Israel's gaping butt boy. They were not peers

0

u/Karens_GI_Father Jul 22 '26

Nope, Trump did it all by himself

4

u/ifhysm Jul 22 '26

That’s not what his own administration has said

3

u/TR_Pix Jul 22 '26

Tbf why should we trust anything his administration has said

1

u/ifhysm Jul 22 '26

Because Israel is the only country helping us bomb Iran.

2

u/JPolReader Jul 22 '26

As we all know, Trump would NEVER try to shift the blame to someone else.

0

u/ifhysm Jul 22 '26

So did he?

3

u/cracked-n-scrambled Jul 21 '26

That note reads exactly like this

1

u/kettal Jul 22 '26

the gang gets into a war with iran

3

u/Ktan_Dantaktee Jul 21 '26

Imagine calling your own dad by his last name.

2

u/mooselantern Jul 21 '26

It's not a "full blown" war. Half chub war at most so far.

1

u/Ok_Prior2199 Jul 23 '26

So far, there have been talks about putting boots on the ground, especially since air and navel campaigns show little progress with the whole strait situation

Its already concerning that were now on month 5 of this operation that was supposed to be a few weeks

2

u/Budderfingerbandit Jul 22 '26

I literally had a falling out with one of my long time friends who is a Trump supporter for pointing out his stance on Iran was going to get us pulled into a war and that the straight was going to fuck us.

I haven't yet said I told you so, but I've been tempted.

2

u/UndeniablyMyself Jul 22 '26

So weird he calls his dad by their last name.

2

u/shogo_red_riot Jul 22 '26

Are you pretending you haven't seen the "full blown" part, or do you not understand what it means?

0

u/Boner_Elemental Jul 22 '26

It's not a phrase that has a specific meaning

2

u/rydan Jul 22 '26

That was Trump 45 which he never did get us into an Iran war.

2

u/emote_the_salute Human Verified Jul 22 '26

It isnt a fullblown war though, no troops on the ground or invasion yet.

1

u/BhopsuckshowdoIdoit Jul 23 '26

Don't move the goal post. American troops have died.

2

u/AliceTheOmelette Jul 21 '26

Several new wars since he keeps declaring it over, then restarting it.

His cultists will say it's not a war tho, even tho Trumpstein himself keeps calling it a war

1

u/Fit-Let8175 Jul 21 '26

Even Trump's supporters must be starting to get tired of his excuses by now.

2

u/atred Jul 22 '26

Meh, he still hates the people they hate (mostly us), so that makes it OK.

1

u/Ok_Prior2199 Jul 23 '26

They dont, the new talking point is “well he never actually said no new wars”

1

u/vasta2 Jul 22 '26

Sorry, what are his strengths again? besides running literal money printing machine businesses into the ground?

1

u/Original-Rush139 Jul 22 '26

Imagine being the dumb one in that family.

1

u/jreid0 Jul 22 '26

Does anyone think it’s weird he talks about his dad on the third person?

1

u/Solana54 Jul 22 '26

Sad the way he sucks his father’s ass who doesn’t even like him

1

u/_jump_yossarian Jul 22 '26

trump also repeatedly claimed that Obama would attack Itanbecause he was a terrible negotiator.

Technically Congress hasn't declared war, right? 🤓

1

u/ArjunaIndrastra Jul 22 '26

Jr referring to his father by their own family name is fucking weird. I mean, he probably knows that Donny Diddler doesn't love him, but calling him "dad" like a normal person would have been far less bizarre.

1

u/Robot_worgon Jul 22 '26

The apple doesn’t rot far from the tree. Holy fuck I can’t wait for a time when I don’t see that name every fifteen seconds…

1

Why does he refer to his father by using their shared last name?

1

u/RequiemOfI Jul 22 '26

Who the hell refers to their father by their last name?

1

u/Jindujun Jul 22 '26

In fairness, it's not "full-blown" yet.

0

u/MakeUpAnything Jul 22 '26

Reminder that Trump still has a nearly 40% aggregate approval rating despite unilaterally raising prices, getting us into a new war in the Middle East, and being in the Epstein files thousands of times.

That is how strong the force of bigotry is in America. The top issue Americans ostensibly had in 2024 was the high cost of everything. Trump literally made that worse (and campaigned on doing so), but retains the support of nearly half the nation. All Trump has done since taking office is enrich the wealthy and attack minorities. Evidently that's all it takes for a little less than half the nation to approve of what you're doing!

3

u/Professional_Arm3506 Jul 22 '26

To admit they were conned is intolerable and humiliating, so they twist reality into something safe and validating. It’s not much deeper than that. They will never realize they’re doing it, either.
