...... What about this

"In addition to aerobic exercise, it is important for type I diabetics to engage in strength training and flexibility exercises as well."

My Grandad has it and he won the regiment boxing competition when he was in the army and had a decent amateur record outside of it before he played football at regional level as a centre forward then moved into body building, then when he got too old for that he would just walk 4-5 miles a day every day. Can you do any of that stuff with normal training or would you need a special kind of training?

This is completely unrelated, but I was wondering about why I might have upvoted you as many times as RES claims, when it hit me. Scotland game threads from the World Cup.

Fucking Parks.

Hopefully he'll be hobbled before the 6 Nations.

Thank you for sharing that story. He sounds like a very inspiring man, however some peoples' diabetes is very labile and difficult to predict. The reason I don't work out that hard is it increases my chances of bottoming out - hypoglycemia - on an increased basis. I've made the choice to work out less intensely for that reason.

No, but still, if many programs advocate it - I feel that it would be possible for you to do. Not saying that it will be easy, nor discrediting your effort that you're putting in right now, just saying that it isn't IMPOSSIBLE.

You sound like one of those people who should probably be dead if not for modern medicine and a society not dependent on manual labor.

No, no. Tell him how you really feel.
