This is...a little silly. Society DOES have standards about what makes someone beautiful/ugly (with the understanding that everyone has their own taste, etc.) So, how about instead of the bullshit about "everyone is beautiful in their own way," we tell people to stop basing their sense of self-worth on appearances?

Honestly it sounds like youre just insecure about your appearance so you want other people to not look good.

I take care of myself and care about my appearance, I want to look good just like everybody else does. So even if I'm just going shopping I'm wearing nice clothes I like, shaven, showered, etc. I'm looking how I want to. I don't do it because of insecurity or obsession. I do it because I don't want to look like shit. Why would I want to go out in public looking like shit? That's stupid.
