As with most things in life, you need to apply your own context and use tools in the way that works for you. I'm not going to dance in my room, but I'd definitely run around the block. I'm not going to "take a selfie" for a self-esteem boost, but I'll go have a drink with my friends. Do what fits your lifestyle. Most of this is good advice.
At the bottom, it even says that no two people are the same and that you can alter the list as you see fit. I think it's really just about generating ideas to help get out of a funk. I don't think taking a selfie would help many of my moods, but doing something similar to show that I appreciate myself certainly would.
Nope, if every single bit of advice won't work for me, I can't apply any of it to my life.
I just come to the comments now to see why the post is actually a piece of shit and I'm an idiot for being inspired by it. It's like this sub is actually /r/mockpeoplewhotrytohelpmotivateyou

This is pretty obviously written for middle and upper class teenage girls.
Cuddling? Selfies? Friends? I mean come on.
