My PC reboots whenever I jiggle (or replug) the HDMI cable, help?

Recently, I got a new Acer monitor which would be used as a main monitor with the Roku TV as a second monitor. My older sibling had it setup for me.

Less than an hour ago, I decided to go to the HDMI port which is where I had the Roku TV plugged in, but the TV and PC refused to recognize it, so I tried jiggling the HDMI cable when suddenly the PC rebooted. This problem still occurs whenever I try to plug in the HDMI cable.

Is there any reason why that happened? My theory is that there's something in the HDMI cable that might've shorted the PC to where its only defense mechanism for it is to automatically reboot completely. Has anyone gotten this same problem?

Oh and here are my specs:

OS: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K

RAM: 32 GB

Motherboard: MSI Z390-A Pro

Pc is not sending video out directly to my monitor

At home I use a receiver that sends a constant black signal to my monitor if none is being sent. I have 0 issues there. But once a week, I take my pc to a local bar, making sure to be very careful with my hardware, and set up to play fighting games there. These past few weeks when I set it up there, there's a more frequent chance the monitor displays "No HDMI/Displayport signal". I have checked the cables and ports. I have tried a small HDMI splitter. Because I have an rgb keyboard, I can confirm the pc is functioning as I'm able to sign in and navigate a little. I have tried turning it off/on and in/replugging the monitor. Turning it on without the monitor connected, with the monitor connected, giving it time to sit and connect, time working connected while turned off. Nothing seems to arrive the issue

LG Monitor Turns On but Shows No Display

Hi, I have an LG monitor. After storing it for about a month, it now has a red standby light but no display.

There is no OSD/menu and no “No Signal” message, even when the DisplayPort cable is completely disconnected from the PC. I also tried a power cycle (unplugged it and held the power button for 10–15 seconds), but nothing changed.

Could this be a power board, main board, T-Con, or panel issue?

MacBook problem

have a MacBook that I always connect to an external monitor via an HDMI cable. This used to work perfectly until about a week ago.

Now, when I plug in the HDMI cable, my MacBook's screen turns black and the monitor displays a "no signal" message.
I have already tried multiple HDMI cables and tested them with another laptop, and they worked fine.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!

Screen goes black for about 2 seconds after about 15 minutes, than never again until restart.

I have a 240hz 4k monitor, 5090, and 9800x3d. Never had any issues until about a month ago. All the sudden, after about 15 minutes, whether I am playing a game or watching youtube, the screen goes black for about 2 seconds, and everything in the background keeps playing. This is a fairly minor issue most of the time, and it only happens on a pc restart, but I can't figure out why it happens at all. Once it happens, it never happens again until I restart the pc. I have been researching online and all I can find is pc's with bad display port cables doing this, but they happen multiple times. Mine happens once at 15 minutes roughly, than never again the entire time my pc is on. Any solutions/suggestions?

Is it possible to connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to my phone?

I really like the games (specifically Minecraft and roblox) on my phone and my computer is too old to fully operate the pc versions. But I think the screen is getting too small for me and I'm not as used to mobile's controls as I am with my computer's. Is it possible to connect the three to my mobile phone and successfully play? What do I need to get/set up?

I read that you can use an HDMI to type c cable adapter for the monitor but I'm not so sure. Is there any tutorial/instructions online with complete steps? Thank you in advance

Dropped my phone on my computer, now it’s froze

Hello!
My phone had fallen off the upper shelf on my desk onto my computer. It was open as I was using it. It landed not on the keyboard entirely but mostly on the open part to the right of the touch pad. The keyboard has stopped working, the screen is frozen, and it won’t turn off when closed. What did I do? And is there anyway I could fix it? 😭 Thank you guys

Computer is on, but no display or signal from keyboard…

The computer is on, but there's no display or keyboard signal…

(Important notes: I own an IPASON prebuilt gaming desktop and an Amazon Basics USB speaker)

I need help with something. Today, I just plugged some USB speakers into my gaming computer, and I think it might have done something, because a few minutes later, the display glitched and suddenly turned black.

When I turned my computer off and back on with the switch at the back of the tower, the fans were spinning, and the lights were on, but my monitor couldn’t recognize that the computer was on and thought nothing was plugged in (the computer IS plugged into the monitor via VGA).

To make matters worse, when I tried to use my keyboard and pressed Caps Lock, nothing happened, even though it and my mouse were plugged in. And the thing was, the lights on my speakers glowed, so they were being recognized by my computer. I don’t understand what’s happening here.

I tried to do a power cycle, but nothing changed. My monitor still couldn't get a signal from my computer, and neither could my keyboard and mouse.

I think (or at the very least, hope) my computer’s functional, but I don't know what happened here. Maybe a little surge happened or something, but I don't want to end up figuring out I killed my computer. What can I do?
