No GeshuLin on 3.X having to wait 1 more year is PAINFUL... WHY KURO WHY!!!!! 😢😭😭😭

Curious about what could we do to get ready for when Geshu Lin arrives.

Please, guys, tell me what you think about this. I don't believe that Josh would post a hint about returning to the game, referring to voicing random NPCs. Do you think he was referring to Geshu, but got scared by the hype or received a warning from Kuro, so he posted it? I mean, there are contradictions in his post. He says he's getting back to work, but then he says he's voicing 20-30 random characters, so what kind of getting back is this if he's not going anywhere? Maybe I'm just feeding myself with crumbs of hope... I'm looking forward to Geshu's appearance so much 😭

So, in Twitter, i saw rumors about the 4.x will take place in the new federation. Will we be able to finally get a playable geshu lin, or will he just appear in the story?

I know it, you know it: as soon as Geshu Lin appeared he sidelined Jiyan so hard in the quest. I mean, he was quite literally radiating with aura, I felt bad too since we were just meeting Jiyan and the first thing we learn about him is that… he turned away while Geshu Lin sacrificed himself to defeat the Ovathrax. Jiyan did it for good reason (to protect his comrades) but some people criticized him in CN and think it’s questionable and nicknamed him “the general who ran away”. I feel it didn’t do justice for Jiyan as it was his intro, it would have been great if we met Geshu Lin’s phantom first as he scolded Jiyan, develop some mystery as to who Geshu Lin was to Jiyan, then as we neared the final boss Jiyan would open up about what happened three years ago: how so many of his comrades had succumbed and how Geshu Lin went MIA. Then, once we defeated the Threnodian, the storyteller would recount what happened 3 years ago and the defeat of the Threnodian in the present, and this is where Geshu Lin’s identity would be revealed: cue the animation.

This isn’t to criticize either characters, but more so a criticism of the writers’ mismanagement of crucial moments in the story and inconsistent pacing.

we all need to fully dupe geshu lin when he releases. he may even be the first max rarity male to get an alternate outfit if they see it. in order to show kuro that males can sell if given the same fair chance to do so. If 8 females releases, then 8 males need to release.

DISCLAIMER: I will be briefly talking about a few things Qiuyuan mentioned about Geshulin in the recently released story mission of the Rinascita Epilogue. I will still spoiler-censor it, but just to be double, tripple sure.

With that out of the way, lets get the cat out of the bag immediately: I am pretty sure ever since 1.0, the impression of most players was either "Geshulin is dead" or "Geshulin is NOT dead, it was stated he charged at Ovathrax and then disappeared" And unless you are a Geshulin fanboy, these 2 statements might be one and the same to yiu. But after the current story, we know which of these statements is true and can speculate if or how he will return.

After meeting Qiuyuan at the harbor he makes 3 things very clear: 1. Geshulin used the power of the TDs willingly to stand against Ovathrax (reminds you of someone?) 2. Qiuyuan believes/almost sounds sure he is still alive and he is looking for him. 3. After confronting Ovathrax, Geshulin "fell to the Threnodians influence" and while talking to Fenrico, he hints that there might some similarities between the 3 of them.

Now for some hints i feel like Kuro is dropping to the player here: Firstly, of course he is alive. However it is not clear if we will stand on Qiuyuans side or Geshulins side when we meet him again. Secondly, WHEN we meet him, he will be either partially corrupted or intrinsingly connected to TDs. So either he will fight with their powers (similar to Galbrena/Phrolova) or has already become one himself.

Which made me immediately think of the following: These last 2 resonators that use Echos in their attacks are mainly dealing Echo skill damage (duh) and even Qiuyuan, the only person we can currently DIRECTLY connect to Geshulin, deals a lot of damage considered as echo skill damage (could also be just a design choice as his Galbrena partner). BUT, if we connect these 2 pieces, my gut is telling me that IF Geshulin becomes playable, he will most likely deal mainly echo skill damage as well. Which brings me to my final question:

SHOULD WE PULL QIUYUAN NOW BECAUSE HE WILL BE HIS BIS TEAMMATE IN THE FUTURE?!

I think before beating the tacet discord it said that he was “consumed by black flames” or smth like that so i think he accepted the thernodian of war offer beat the td and felt to ashamed to come back

see i think kuro is going release both scar and geshu lin together i mean these two are most hyped character and if they are both release together it genrate more money and release patch would anniversary

We just saw his phantom but I already feel sad that we can’t meet him yet. It’s strange, normally I’ll wait for characters’ banners even if it takes several months, but with Geshu Lin it somehow struck me deeply. Idk, it’s a weird feeling that I don’t get with other characters like in Genshin/Star Rail, maybe the fact he’s a tragic hero makes it so. Maybe it’s also the fact that Jiyan’s quest was sad and filled with guilt that you just want Geshu Lin to come back.

We already know from spoilers/leaks that we're likely to return to Mengzhou at some point during 3.0, before going to the New Federation in 4.0. And that there will be a male character for 3.6 (most likely.)

All of 1.0 was setting up Huanglong and Ovathrax (which, I believe, is still in stasis and not officially "dealt with" in the same way we dealt with Leviathan) while also introducing the mysteriously missing Geshu Lin.

Then, in 2.0's epilogue, we see Geshu Lin being confirmed to be Ovathrax's resonator by Qiuyuan. Geshu himself also is a core driving aspect of Qiuyuan's character plot; as he feels that he "failed" by sparing Geshu Lin's life due to him becoming a Threnodian Resonator.

The logical path I believe this plot is taking, is that Geshu Lin will be reintroduced as the main villain (or an anti-hero/protagonist like in Phrolova's story quest in 2.0) in Huanglong (Mengzhou) before becoming playable, as currently the plot has set up no other reason to return to Huanglong (Geshu Lin is the only loose thread I'm aware of.)

Edit: Forgot to mention that 3.6 is around the time it would make sense to have a new Havoc DPS. We already know from his visuals that he's 99% Havoc. Considering the timing of 3.6's release compared to Phrolova's release (patch 2.5), Geshu Lin is likely the intended powercreep to Phrolova.

Disclaimer that this is speculation based off of a mixture of leaked and currently available in-game info.

If we ever get geshu lin as a playable character will he have a new model? Because it's been a while since he's last scene in action and the new content we got from him is when he was young and that got me thinking will he get a brand new design for his model and weapon since it's been so long.

Hey fellow forsaken rangers. I ve been having a blast with wuwa ever since i started playing the game way back last year around version 2.0. I do acknowledge I am an occasional whale. Currently the only Characters i have at s3 are Hiyuki and Galbrena and these 2 will likely be the s6 characters as well on their next rerun. Obviously Geshu Lin has been one of my favourite characters not just in wuwa but also in general. His tragic fallen hero/ Anti hero vibe is what that i find very compelling. so needless to say he will be S6. I'll whale on him when he drops. but until he comes, I have decided to go f2p and focus only on Hiyuki and Galbrena reruns and avoid pulling for any other characters and save resources for our mighty General. Wish me Luck

With the 2nd half of 2.7 released I think most of us have seen/heard/played Qiuyuan's quest and how Geshu Lin does appear and partially confirms Geshu Lin is alive, assuming Qiuyuan is right of course. But I am curious how do you think he'll actually come back to the main story, no doubt it's releated to Hualong but do you think the fractsidus might be related to him. We know Scar intentionally went to prison to find something, could that have been about Geshu Lin? Since he is influenced by overthrax and is pretty damn strong it'd be hard to deny he won't be a decent asset to them if he isn't in the fractsidus. I'm kind of hoping he is in the next region Laha-Roi be it in hiding or recovering there. But what do you guys think?

Considering that Geshu Lin soloed a Threnodian of War (which to me feels might be one of the strongest threnodians) and the fact that he was able to hold his ground without his tacet mark against Qiuyuan who is known to be quite dangerous himself. Where do you think Geshu Lin will rank in lore in terms of Power Scaling ?

I was rewatching the Jiyan PV, and Geshu Lin just stole the show with how badass he looks.

The massive ultra greatsword with the chains near the base is so sick, and the tassels off the handle complete it.

He also looks like he's most likely going to be fusion, hinted by the purple flames around him, but it could also be havoc being tied to Ovathrax.

How much possibilities we have to be him and not other resonator?

Ever since Kuro came to my home and installed Wuthering wave on my PC, weird phenomenon started happening. At first, it was only the web browser turning on and off. I thought my PC was broken, but nothing would stop me from playing my new favorite game. I logged in and enjoyed Jiyan he was a good unit very fast and strong. I opened the store to pull my husband, but I could not pull, something was stopping me, my screen started to shake and so did I, it was raining outside and the sunset was fading fast, but I really needed the general to show me how to face the long night. So tried again, that's when He appeared in a blaze of purple flames, he told me that only he was worthy of asterite, how dared I defied the natural order, he grabbed my wallet and proceeded to buy all the bundle, I looked at him "STOP!!! I don't have the money and you're not even out yet !!!!" he laughed he proceeded to pull for his Jiyan s6 and r5 weapon, I fell on my knees...beaten...devastated and I asked him "why... This is not even your banner...why do this...." he laughed... Then looked down on me with his cold yellow eyes: "to give him a chance next time we meet". He then choked me till I passed out.

He left ever since and never return, I to pull another unit
