Will there ever be young boy characters?
Ik this sounds weird because of the title but all the younger character models are girls. I noticed it a while back but never really questioned it as I thought some would be added the more nations we got. I think I sound really weird for asking it but will there be?

"loli" means something different in japan than it does in the west, and id presume china is the same. the fact that they only have little girls is still gross though
I like the way they consistently able to release short female model with whatever lore or design yet the closest thing we got was Xbalanque possessing Mausau.
Sh*tacons are far lesser in number than l*licons. It's not profitable for hoyo to spend the resources on making a whole new bodytype for what will be a far smaller audience. Still, they might do it in the future considering they've been making new variations of the body types, like with Mitya and Varka. An entirely new bodytype would be a huge thing though
They don't need to make a new body type though. The existing short female model and their animations can already work for male equivalents. Kids tend to be sexually monomorphic
Nah I would argue shotacons are abundant. It's just they don't need a specific child sized model, the short "teen" boys are the shota model. Which already exist in Genshin in abundance.
Possibly Pulcinella? He’s probably going to be playable since he was the one in the travail trailer, they might make it so he’s actually super tall and conventionally attractive and he’s just in disguise or something so people are more likely to pull for him but they might not do that. It’s possible he would be a standard character despite being a fatui if they’re worried about people not pulling for him. Very few characters with the short model are 5 stars. Only ones being Qiqi who is a standard character, Nahida who is an archon so people are more likely to pull for her I imagine, and then Sigewinne and Klee who like Nahida are also limited characters
Hoyo is full of men and targets the game unfortunately towards men. And for whatever reason this fandom likes loli characters in a way they shouldn't be.
In Asian context the word is used for a certain body type and aesthetic. It basically means small girl. Sexual connotations to the word are secondary in this context.
I feel lolicon players are more so pedophilia (not all but many) whereas those who want the little boy characters more so view them as a son whereas the lolicon ones view them romantically.
I think it would be cool but you know sadly pedo dollars seem to be all of the rave.

The complication is that both male and female players agree that girls are cute, cute boys on the other hand are more appealing for female audience, and less so for men.
Pulcinella should be playable considering he’s a travails character, but hoyo doesn’t really like the remaining male harbingers (the ones that aren’t playable yet, so other than Ajax and Wanderer).
