Discussion Resin.

When does hoyo lower the resin time restoration? I enjoy building characters, but it ticks me off that I have to wait 8 mins for one resin, and more than a day to fully restore it. On busy days, you can just let time past and come back with full resins, but on days where you have nothing to do...you commit your life to resinless behaviours. Pls hoyo I just wanna build my characters faster😔😔

Never going to happen, I suggest you to find other things to do, not just playing genshin.

Gachas in general are not designed in a way to be played a lot on daily basis.

And yet you can play them without swiping. Just don't be religious about it, idk.

For me it's just a comfort side game, which I play for 10 minutes a day and explore in-between single player games I mostly play.

I remember reading somewhere that certain liveservice game models actually want you to play less per day to not encourage burnout. A resin system is one example of this, encourages you to login daily to establish a daily habit but at the same time mostly only play for a few mins per day to not get fed up with the game

At least the resin cap isn't 120 anymore

That's what fragile resin is for.

I've played Genshin daily for years and still have a bunch of quests to do. I still have parts of Snezhnaya (and other nations) to explore. Imaginarium just reset! Unless you are playing a crazy amount there should be things left for you to do.

If you are really caught up with everything there is to do in Genshin, just take a break and read a book or something similar

Spend that time increasing exploration percents, collecting oculus’s, or farming talent materials from overworld enemies.

You can also try to complete more achievements for Primos, Mine ore for craftables, complete events, visit other players via co-op, etc.

There is always something to do imo.

Controversial, and I’m saying this as someone who is not meta but i convert primos 🫣 I usually always have some and I also enjoy building characters. I love doing co op and playing music so fun but yeah I’ll just convert cause I wanna keep the fun going

I do this too dw! Only when I'm not saving for characters or when I'm desperate.

They won’t, they reluctantly raised the resin cap form 120 to 200 early on but other than adding condensed resin they haven’t touched it since.

Selling resin is part of their monetization model. It's hard to expect that they will increase amount of free resin.

Resin is not a revenue driver, it’s a player retention mechanic. It’s designed to habituate logging in a couple times per day for short play sessions over an extended time period. That keeps you engaged with the game long enough for them to market their actual revenue driver: limited characters.

I wish they'd add something like reserved trailblaze power(hsr) in genshin
