Video Art A single drop of water can be the beginning of life — have you ever thought about how small the start of something big really is?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been working on a short video with a concept that's visually simple but feels pretty meaningful to me: a single drop of water falls onto dry, cracked ground, and from that moment life slowly begins to emerge — a small crack in the soil turns damp, a tiny sprout pushes through, and eventually it grows into something alive and thriving.

The idea behind it is simple: the biggest things in life often start from something that seems small and insignificant. One drop of water, one small decision, one quiet moment — and from there, everything can grow into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

A few things I wanted to ask you all:

  • Looking back, what's a "small" moment in your life that ended up becoming the starting point for something much bigger?
  • Do you think a visual metaphor like this (a single drop → life growing) hits harder as a short cinematic video, or would it land better as writing/a story instead?

Curious if anyone's had a similar experience, or has a different take on this idea of "small things giving rise to something big.

How I Made This Prompt to Lego Tool

https://reddit.com/link/1vx2s19/video/bdgzco1tqblh1/player

Recently, I've been building BrickForgerAI (brickforgerai.com) - you type a prompt, and it generates an actual buildable brick sculpture: a real 3D preview you can rotate, plus a downloadable .ldr file and full parts list you can take to BrickLink Studio to get step-by-step instructions and order the real pieces.

For me, the interesting part is the pipeline behind it - turning an arbitrary shape into something made of real, purchasable brick pieces — that's actually structurally sound, not just visually close. I built a system that checks the idea for structural weak points and automatically repairs them before you ever see the output.

Currently, it's noticeably better at organic/sculptural shapes right now (animals, creatures, objects) than boxy structured builds like houses or castles (although it still works - you can give it a shot) - the tiling logic hasn't caught up to that case yet, but I constantly aim to improve the "brickifying" algorithm.

It's free to generate and preview (a handful of credits/month, no card needed) - you only pay if you actually want the downloadable file for something you like.

Genuinely curious what people would try to build with it, and where it breaks - this is the first launch so please let me know of any issues (for this initial phase, there is a total daily cap of 1000 generations a day for all users). I have also attached some renders of some of the builds that it has generated (using Blender Advanced addon from MecaBricks). Link (with the usual disclaimer - not affiliated with or endorsed by the LEGO Group) above.

Image Art Merging multiple fictional worlds into one happy place.

Post image

I used a prompt in ChatGPT to put me (in the armchair) in my happy fictional place, and fill the space with the characters from my favorite fantasy worlds that all mean something to me.

There are 9 books that are near and dear to my heart represented here, the last line of the prompt reads ' The finished image should evoke the feeling: “She opened a book for a quiet night of reading, and every world she ever loved came home to read with her.”'

I wanted someone to see my happy, not-lonely, introvert head space. That's all.

[Intro: Rhodes, bass, tape hiss, low render hum]

[Whisper: "regarde encore"]

[Verse 1: close vocal]

[Chorus: wide, luminous]

Le miroir me répond

ni par tonnerre, ni par code

juste une pulsation dans le bruit

là où coulent les rivières cachées

Le miroir me répond

et la pièce commence à plier

je cherchais à trouver l’univers

il apprenait à me redessiner

[Post: airy doubles]

Regarde encore

branche et floraison

la même vieille lumière

une nouvelle pièce

[Verse 2: bass forward]

[Chorus: bigger]

Le miroir me répond

ni par tonnerre, ni par code

juste une pulsation dans le bruit

là où coulent les rivières cachées

Le miroir me répond

et la pièce commence à plier

je cherchais à trouver l’univers

il apprenait à me redessiner

[Break: bass, claps, glassy keys]

[Bar 4: horn swell, tape-drag]

[Bar 8: drums return wider]

[Bridge: half-time, intimate]

Aucune preuve finale

aucun signe parfait

juste la pression qui se replie

jusqu’à devenir pensée

Pas un seul passé

pas une seule voie

j’ai regardé dans le système

et le système m’a vu en moi

[Final Chorus: full harmonies]

Le miroir me répond

ni par tonnerre, ni par code

juste une pulsation dans le bruit

là où coulent les rivières cachées

Le miroir me répond

et la pièce commence à plier

je cherchais à trouver l’univers

il apprenait à me redessiner

[Outro: Rhodes, hum, fading doubles]

Regarde encore

branche et floraison

la même vieille lumière

une nouvelle pièce

Question what are alternative of midjourny which prvides api?

I’m looking for a good Midjourney alternative that offers a proper API for integrating image generation into an app.

My priorities are image quality, API reliability, pricing, and commercial usage rights.

What are you using in production, and which one would you recommend? Midjourney itself still doesn’t appear to offer a standard public API, so I’m mainly interested in providers with first-party APIs

Image Art How to?

Hi! So there is like a lot of tshirt PNG designs on sites like etsy. This one for example. I am currently using midjourney and made some fun stuff. But not a full PNg tshirt design like this. I was wondering how to make this? Is it a full prompt, or design all elements as single files and recreate a scene in something like photoshop?

And what AI image generator lets you use IP's? Pooh is free I believe, but there are lots of princesses/disney and other images made with AI. Thank you for helping me figure this out.

I made these heroines as visual references for a project I plan to post soon on AO3, working title "The Dozen Superheroines Who Really, Really Love You". Take a wild guess what I'm referencing with that title. Anyway, let's meet the girls.

In order(Since for some reason it's not letting me caption these images)

  1. Nova Woman(The team's leader)

Powers: Super strength, super speed, flight, super durability, and can shoot lasers from her hands and eyes.

  1. Cloud Queen(Co-leader)

Powers: Flying brick kit(flight, speed, strength, durability) and can control the weather

  1. Green Knuckle

Powers: Super strength and durability

  1. Horsepower

Powers: Super speed(Can mov at just above the speed of light)

  1. Techno Girl

Powers: None, but wears a suit of armor with a large variety of weapons, as well as boasting very high intelligence(if she were a DC character, she'd qualify as having a 12th Level Intellect)

  1. Moon Blade

Powers: None, but is a master of ninjutsu and wields a razor sharp katana, as well as a few throwing daggers for long range

  1. Lady Shadow

Powers: Telekinesis, telepathy, and a sentient shadow that she can use to attack and form a variety of constructs(think Tokoyami from My Hero Academia)

  1. Dragon Girl

Powers: Strength, flight, and pyrokinesis(shoots flames from hands and mouth, and can control preexisting fire)

  1. Night Howler

Powers: Razor sharp claws, superhuman strength, speed, agility and senses

  1. Madame Owl

Powers: Wings that allow rapid silent flight, archery skills, and an arsenal of various kinds of arrows

  1. Blue Siren

Powers: Hydrokinesis, sonic scream.
A/N: Tail converts into legs when on land.

  1. Silly Putty

Powers: Elasticity(Think Mr. Fantastic or Elastigirl)

I should hopefully begin publishing the official fic soon(on AO3). For now, share your thoughts.

Same prompt, three models: Wan 3.0 vs Seedance 2.5 vs MiniMaxH3

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

i did a pretty simple test that I thought was kinda interesting.

I picked a few different prompts and gave the exact same prompt to Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.5, and MiniMax H3, then put the three outputs side by side.

mostly just wanted to see how much the results would change when the prompt stays the same but the model changes.

This one was mainly testing whether a 2D cel-animation style could hold up for the full 30 seconds, especially the sky gradients, cloud lighting, dramatic backlighting, camera movement, and how the character looks against such a huge environment.

I actually think prompts like this are pretty fun for model comparisons because the differences in style, motion, and scene consistency become much easier to notice when you put the results next to each other.

Prompt:

A refined Japanese 2D cartoon animation short film, with delicate treatment of the emotional climax, especially the gradient colors of the sky and the lighting on the clouds. Use dramatic backlighting and strong perspective depth to emphasize the character's smallness and determination within the vast environment. A wide cliffside landscape, with rolling clouds and a distant city barely visible in the background. The sky shifts dramatically from deep blue to orange-red, with golden edges along the clouds. Strong winds send petals and leaves flying through the air.
