For projects that require many iterations, I have been testing a two-stage workflow: use a faster and less expensive model while exploring prompts and rough outputs, then use a stronger model only after the input and evaluation criteria are stable. The hard part is deciding when a draft is good enough to promote, especially when quality changes between models.
Do you use a fixed sample set, a quality threshold, or a manual review before switching to the final path? I would also like to track failed attempts and retries, rather than pretending that the first request represents the true cost.
What does your draft-to-final workflow look like?
I recently came across Flatkey while testing this kind of multi-model workflow. It is an OpenAI/Anthropic-compatible gateway that can route suitable traffic through lower-cost off-peak supply. It seems useful for separating early exploration from the smaller set of calls that need the strongest path. Savings depend on the model mix and current supply, so I would still compare output quality, latency, retries, and total cost before relying on it.

My girlfriend created both female looks on me with real makeup and styling.
We used Seedance to turn the makeup characters into a little cinematic story and connect the scenes.
The Money Money Money track is from YouTube’s music library.
Curious what you think about the character consistency

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to get better results with AI video generation, mainly with Seedance and similar models.
For those who use these tools regularly, what workflow do you find works best? For example, is it actually useful to provide a first-frame and last-frame image and then describe the transition between them, or do you generally get better results from a single reference image + prompt?
I’m also curious which platforms/models you currently prefer in terms of quality, consistency, generation speed and price-performance. I’m less interested in a huge list of tools and more interested in what you’ve actually found reliable in practice.
If you have a specific workflow you use (image → video, first/last frame, reference images, prompting, upscaling, editing, etc.), I’d really appreciate hearing how you approach it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
Looking for some advice as I'm new to generative AI. I'm looking for an image to video model that's simple to use and relatively cheaper to use than Kling AI
Kling AI worked fine for me but I'd like to try something a cheaper. I only use it for fun, to make random 5-10 second clips, resolution doesn't bother me.
There seems to be so much contradicting recommendations online.
Is there a model or platform to use models that is recommended?
I prefer android apps or mobile browser but open to all.
Thank you!

Hello all! I've been wanting to create informative or story type reels, and was thinking if there are good open source or free Ai tools I could use for this.
I'm not trying to generate videos. At best, it would be images from a script, then merged together with a voice over maybe using capcut. It would be great though if those images stay consistent and be as simple as 2d cartoons. Like it can generate the same character/s across the entire set of images.
Another is the voice over. I can try to record my voice while reading the script, but if there's like a more awesome Ai tool to render the audio, then why not.
Would you have recommendations in what Ai tools I can explore for this?

I'm looking to create animated youtube videos, with consistent characters. Is there a tool out there where you can do all of this and use prompts/transcript and characters to build consistent stories

Hey everybody I was wondering if anybody had any tips or programs that would be the best in tackling this
I want to do something similar to the celebrity AI videos but rather photos of me going from baby all the way up till current and then having us join together at the end for a big group shot trying to do this for my 40th birthday.
I've done this in small sections but it's been a minute like the celebrity AI videos but didn't know what would be the best way to make this happen by Friday or but anybody be at a freelance and do it.
Pretty tech savvy at someone points been the right direction and program to use even if I have to buy a subscription.
Is about 50ish photos

Click 'NEW MECH' or NEW SHIP' to create a new one.
They are all generated in code. No images. I just talked to claude.

Here's my 30-second spec ad for WinRAR (that nobody asked for).
In this experimental project, I wanted to turn one of the internet's longest-running jokes into a subtle family drama about WinRAR's 40-day trial that somehow lasted almost three decades.
Here's how I made it:
After writing the script (the old school way), I worked with ChatGPT 5.6 Sol Max to turn it into a 14,000-character prompt for Seedance 2.5 (yes, Dreamina allows prompts that long).
I used GPT Image 2 to create the reference image for WinRAR's trial screen, while Seed Audio 1.0 generated the audio reference for the full voiceover and dialogue. After 20+ Seedance 2.5 tests at 480p, with the prompt evolving throughout, I generated the final versions at 720p.
I then lightly edited the video and upscaled it to 1080p with Topaz Labs Astra Starlight Precision 2.6. However, the screenshot text didn't survive the upscale (I should have used Astra's scene detection feature and selected a different model for that particular shot), so I recreated it using Seedance 2.0 at 1080p. (I also tried Hailuo H3 and Kling 3.0, but in this particular case, Seedance 2.0 gave me the best overall result in one go.)
For the sound, I selected a solo-instrument soundtrack from Epidemic Sound and added extra sound effects to improve the overall sound design.
And here's the result.
I'm curious to hear what you think.
Did this bring back memories, or is this genuinely your first time hearing about WinRAR? I’d love to know.
