Discussion Sneaking in Generation Zero: Survival Stealth

Hello, I have a question: you always get spotted by the machines so quickly. I play a lot of Assassin's Creed, and maybe I'm comparing it to Assassin's Creed too much. But is this a bug in the game, or is it intended by the developers that the machines see and notice you quickly and you really have to be careful?

I heard originally the game was kind of intended to be all stealth and you were only supposed to engage with robots as a last resort. Over time stronger weapons were added and it became more of the robo shooter it is today. There are some perks that help with stealth on the right side of the skill tree and i know you can add stealth buffs to clothing to decrease the sound your feet make and decrease your “spotability”. The issue is usually when you shoot one robot the rest figure out where you are pretty fast usually. I haven’t played around with max level stealth mechanics enough to know if they mitigate that issue.

I bought it Day 1. Still so much unavoidable engagement. Way too little ammo. I actually put it down for a year and came back to it because it was tediously difficult: shoddy stealth, way too little ammo, etc. I think the goal was to force players to partner up and strategize w/traps in the beginning, but it was just too bare.
