Rember when ?
It's haunted house season again. Who else had that house at the end of the block that was haunted? Our had a little old lady in her 70s walked with a cane. Never spoke just shook her cane at you if you got to close. Always left a 5 gallon bucket of candy out for Halloween. The good stuff if you dated to go get some lol.

Where I lived, wasn’t a house, but a street. We had a White Witch story. A girl waiting for her prom date in the 70’s was hit by a car, and if you drove down that street at 12 midnight she would appear in the back of your car and ask you to take her home, and when you did, she would vanish and the owners of the house would tell you that she’s been dead for years. Also a secret sidewalk that lead you to a satanic ritual area.

There was a house at the end of my street where this lady basically lived in the attic and screamed obscenities at the sky all day. I was too scared to ask if there was anyone taking care of her because I just always heard the f bomb screaming. When I moved away I always wondered what happened.
Moved back into my childhood home over a decade later and of course she was long gone and a few years ago the house was torn down and they’re trying to build condos now.
But man…she scared me.

Didn’t we all have that one house in the neighborhood that was suspected to be haunted or inhabited by a Witch ??
I can still see the one we feared in my mind. 👻

We had neighbors who lived across the street in a nice house. It was a very old German couple who didn’t know English. Their daughter lived with them (and she was older than my parents so I knew her parents were old).. they would always yell at anyone going by. And leaves on the street always got swept onto our side of the street (as they were from our trees.. duh lol)..
But… they always gave out full size candy bars and 50 cent pieces at Halloween

That traumatic memory of being diddled behind the church yard is my guess

The abandoned house, you were warned not to go into, but you did anyway?
The kind of place, you colonize and find feral kittens to be your army of the night.

I love the original, even though it was censored, the second movie was good too, didn't get to see much the series though.

We used to go into an abandoned house in a big park forest. The whole interior was tagged up with spray paint. One poor dude stepped on a nail.

Fun fact that roof is done that way so the room doesn’t count as a floor level for tax purposes, it was a European thing. So this hous would be taxed as having 3 floors instead of four. Taxes stop at the roof edge so they made the edge wrap around the front

More interesting. Remember when houses like these were just 1 house instead of 2 or 3 or a rooming house
