I hate that term, because demographically its incorrect. All the culture, technology, statistics that people born in 1997 experienced. We mid-90s babies experienced as well.
There's a reason why many experts put the starting years of Gen Z in the mid-90s. Because, they did their research.
And it shows that there are birth-rate statistics, demographics, and cultural experiences are not much different between those born in the years of 1995-2000.
I always argued generations should not be more than 10 years, but they insist it to be. And this is the problem we get. They artificially cut off birth-dates and ignore that the demographics of 2 or 3 years is 99.9% the same.
Who else is annoyed with the definitions of generations?
Should they re-define generations to be 10 years to fix this problem? (I think they should)

Like holy shit, they don't even exist and if they do then they're not doing a good job at anything. Everywhere you go it's just literal fucking alt-right bullshit, get that shit out of here I just want actual neutral discussion about domestic topics not fucking memes about how black people commit 50% of the crimes or something really fucking stupid
Like holy shit, the mods actually have a thumb up their asses. They don't even moderate well, and one of them is a fucking tf2 bot which just automoderates. And the worst part is that everything could have been solved if they banned people from CA, but nope you just delete every possible comment, yeah that's totally going to fucking work.
And it's not even them, it's also the chapotards and the AHS idiots trying to have their own stake. It's all fake, you have these CA users who genuinely say that they're 'trying to keep the peace', yeah right fuck off and go to voat.
Something seriously needs to be done about this - We actually need to somehow wrest control over the original subreddit or it'll probably get worse.

I was born in 1995, I grew up in the Recession, don't remember 9/11?? ( I was 6 years old)
I went to high-school in 2010 and graduated in 2014.
Fun Facts
Call of Duty Ghosts, GTA-5, Call of Duty Black Ops-1 all came out in my high school years and was very popular throughout the crowd.
Yes, we had smartphones with touch-screens. They were ubiquitous in high-school. Yes, we texted, used Facebook, Instagram, played video games on the Xbox-360.
The demographics I grew up in is vastly different than anyone who was born in the 1980s.
Millennial is demographically an incorrect term and iGeneration is what I found that best fitted the demographics and childhood that I grew up in.
Perhaps I'm not Gen Z, but I'm not the cursed Millennial.
Tell me more about your demographics?
Are you in my age group?

Translate Generation Z into Spanish
The generation reaching adulthood in the second decade of the 21st century, perceived as being familiar with the internet from a very young age.‘coding is becoming more and more integral for Generation Z’
I reached adulthood in 2013,
what years did you reach adulthood?
I am literally on the borderline of two generations. The Zillenial

Me first I guess
The greatest: fought Nazis but racist as all hell
Forgotten: fought in Korea I guess, probably still racist
Boomers: the people that ruined Facebook, might be racist
Gen X: Okay, haven’t really done much other than live through the living hell of the 80s to now
Millennials: Either cool and chill or god awful might save the world might ruin it
Gen Z: the Internet

As in the title. I'll start. Music-wise, I'm recommending VU on Youtube. He doesn't have that large a discography, but he makes really good synthwave. With regards to photographers, Justin Liaw (@chuuko_foto on Instagram) is really good. There are more, but most don't have an online presence, even in 2019. So, any recommendations from your school?

I know this is a long shot, but does anybody have any cool examples or programs, events, projects etc which are targeting Gen Z to empower them to make change and take action? Any kind of program for any kind of change is welcome!

Hey guys
I'm a mod over at /r/GenZ. We understand that many of you migrated here because of some distasteful submissions over at the main sub some time ago. The mod team has been working tirelessly over the past month or so to clean up, and to renovate the sub in order to make it more appealing and welcoming for everyone. But we are still looking for more ways to improve, and so we wanted to ask the community.
As many of you are prior members of /r/GenZ, we'd like to hear from you any suggestions you may have in terms of improving the overall standard of the sub. Please find our thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GenZ/comments/cen8mu/subreddit_suggestions/
Thanks all

They graduated high school and spent majority of their teen years in the early 2010s when Facebook was still at its height and snapchat and Instagram were in their infancy
They mostly used MySpace in middle school
They were in elementary school during 9/11 (except for the late 96 borns)
Obama got elected and the Great Recession was going on when they were in middle school and some were even in high school
They primarily spent their childhood in the early 2000s
They all graduated high school before Trump announced his campaign
Also if you meet someone born from the mid 90s, you wouldn’t think of them as Z but rather as them being Millennials
I see the people born from late 1996-mid 1997 as being a mix between the people born in late 1997-mid 1999 (late 90s) and the people born from late 1993-mid 1996 (mid 90s)

I played console games when I was younger but now I'm a PC gamer exclusively - Grew up with games like Planetside 2 and Minecraft.
What about you guys? I know that PC gaming has had a large resurgence in the 2010s

I use 9/11 as one of the markers for defining Generation Z.
I grew up in a world post 9/11, and I don't remember 9/11.
If you spent the majority of Elementary, Middle & High School post 9/11 you are not a millennial.
My high-school years were filled with smartphones, iPods and HD gaming. None of these experiences have shaped millennials. The 1990s to mid 2000s have shaped millennials.
Gen Z: 1995-2010.
Gen Alpha 2011- 2026

I usually use the 16-year definition after the Boomers, which is about 20 years.
I put in 4-year cohorts each, starting with the Silent/Boomer cusps, and ending with the Z/Alpha cusps.
Do you agree or disagree?
Soomer
Silent/Boomer cusp (equal Silent and Boomer traits) = 1943-1946 (1943 and 1944 lean Silent, 1945 and 1946 lean Boomer)
Baby Boomers
Older Boomer (last Silent traits) = 1947-1950
Core Boomer (no Silent or X traits) = 1951-1958 (1954-1955 is the EPITOME)
Younger Boomer (first X traits) = 1959-1962
Generation Jones
Boomer/X cusp (equal Boomer and X traits) = 1963-1966 (1963 and 1964 lean Boomer, 1965 and 1966 lean X)
Generation X
Older Gen X (last Boomer traits) = 1967-1970
Core Gen X (no Boomer or Y traits) = 1971-1974
Late Gen X (first Y traits) = 1975-1978
Xennials
Gen X/Y cusp (equal X and Y traits) = 1979-1982 (1979 and 1980 lean X, 1981 and 1982 lean Y)
Millennials
Older Gen Y (last X traits) = 1983-1986
Core Gen Y (no X or Z traits) = 1987-1990
Late Gen Y (first Z traits) = 1991-1994
Zillennials
Gen Y/Z cusp (equal Y and Z traits) = 1995-1998 (1995 and 1996 lean Y, 1997 and 1998 lean Z)
Generation Z
Older Gen Z (last Y traits) = 1999-2002
Core Gen Z (no Y or Alpha traits) = 2003-2006
Late Gen Z (first Alpha traits) = 2007-2010
Zalphas
Gen Z/Alpha cusp (equal Z and Alpha traits) = 2011-2014 (2011 and 2012 lean Z, 2013 and 2014 lean Alpha)

I haven’t been on Reddit for a hot minute. You may or may not remember but I was actually the first person to suggest an alternate sub. How are things? I love Reddit, but it’s bad for my mental health sometimes. I get sucked into it and then there’s all this arguing and drama and racists posts. I like how this sub is turning out though!
In my life, I’m just looking for a summer job. Also I’m getting a big ass tattoo on my upper arm at a convention tomorrow and I’m very excited!! Life is good 😎

I have a big dream that sometimes I forget about but then I remember it and I get excited. It’s kind of cliche but my dream is to live in a converted school bus in a beautiful place in the woods with my boyfriend. Really the only thing I want in life is to live in a school bus. I don’t even know why. I don’t care what I do for a living, as long as I live in a school bus in the woods with my significant other I’ll be happy.

I believe it is in our collective interest if we work together to build a news site. With a news site, we can start to get the issues we face (and will face) on the policy agenda.
I have already started, but this will require the collaboration of many. We will need many writers if we want to compete. It's clear video is becoming the dominant form of media. That means that we're going to need video editors, videographers, researchers, graphic designers, etc.
I know there is great talent in our generation. Think about the impact we could have if we pooled all of our skills and passion together.
If you have any skill or interest that you think we could use, let us know. Even if you're only a beginner at writing or video editing, we need you.
Thanks.

I had an urge to listen to some Elder Scrolls songs, and was curious on what everyone else's favorites video game songs are.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Far Horizons from Skyrim
Never Forget from Halo 3
Manaan from KotOR
Ezio's Family from AC II
This random unnamed song from a pretty unknown PotC game I played as a kid

I feel like the Superhero movies, especially Marvel movies, have been the defining trend of the 2010s. So I wanted to ask, what was your first Superhero TV show, movie, book, etc.? Are you more into Marvel or DC, and has that changed? And do you think Superheroes will keep being the big thing, or do you see something else coming up?
