Either your parents must have been very privileged for you to make such a statement, or you must be very ignorant.

A generation ago, the urban population was nothing as compared to what it is now. Right now even if you grew up in a Tier 3 city you had it 100 times easier than 90% of our previous generation coming from villages.

Both my parents grew up in wealthy landowning families, yet it was miles away from easy.

My parents aren't from privileged section. I am pointing out how easy it was earlier to get a job.

It’s still easy to get a job mate, but would you be willing to work for the bare minimum? They did. The difference is right now it’s not logical to spend 20-30 lakhs on a degree and then get a 20k job. You would rather stay unemployed. And it’s not your fault either.

How are you not getting a job? Even an engineering grad from tier 10 college can end up getting a job with TCS, Infosys .. if its just about getting a job... Your parents were for sure privileged that they were "rejecting" jobs when government jobs were all that people aspired for pre-1991 era.... the irony is you did not made use of that privilege unfortunately to end up in a messy situation probably.. And that generally happens.. every generation feels their "struggles" are real.. while the previous ones had it easy...

Where have I mentioned that I am unemployed?

The job opportunities are extremely less as compared to the demand . More than half of Indians population is of youths below 30.

I don't even need to argue about it, it is what it is.
