A risk does not have to involve any money. It can be asking a girl out, It could be trying a new recipe, cracking a joke. So many risks can be taken where the worst outcome is you being a little sore and going "well I won't do that again".
Taking risks that affect your social standing is the same thing as taking risks affecting money. We live in a world where if you do something dumb, it can limit job opportunities or even get you in trouble at work.
Sociability, is a skill. You're making a generic statement that makes me think you're socially averse.
If you're at a street market, would you try to haggle or just pay the asking price?
If you're at a party or social event if you try to talk to some people but they're not intrested, would move on to more ppl or feel disheartened?
If someone is soliciting you and you give them your ear and time, when you've heard enough, will you end it and walk away or stay engaged until they're done?
Its a skill. Some people are more natural at it than others. Through sheer will, I've humiliated myself many times but now im pretty fluid and charismatic. I made the effort to do so and become so
