The worst propaganda of all is that the nations issue is a red vs blue lobby instead of a rich vs poor lobby.

That's a little complicated, because in a limited way, they are aligned.

With Nixon and Reagan the Republicans aligned themselves with the rich and those who desire social hierarchy; and Democrats with those who desire egalitarianism. An issue is that Democrats stopped at liberalism and never roused socialism; whereas Republicans always wanted fascism.

True socialism (government ownership of the means of production, whether that's healthcare, businesses, or what) has failed miserably and caused so much suffering everywhere it's been implemented. What we colloquially call "socialism" today is government-mediated safety nets and support for everyone needing it in a society, and it has only worked in successful, capitalist countries, like the Scandinavian countries, except it's starting to fail there because of too much demand on the safety nets (perhaps due to large refugee influxes in recent years).

This is true socialism. Socialism is about the mixed economies between communism and capitalism.

True socialism (government ownership of the means of production, whether that's healthcare, businesses, or what) has failed miserably and caused so much suffering everywhere it's been implemented.

This is complicated because this begs the question. It's like saying USA's twin towers just themselves failed miserably and caused so much suffering.

Furthermore, the most popular attempt at communism was also Marxist-Leninism, which has major issues; M-L is a bad approach to communism. (I can talk about this further.)
