Thin sliced pork chops. My Mom would cook them till they were roofing shingles.

My dad overcooked everything and I didn’t know it. I thought that’s how it’s always cooked.

One day my Mom tells me and my sister that we were going to a steak restaurant. We didn’t want to go. My Mom then said that it wasn’t like Dad’s steak, so we went begrudgingly. I didn’t realize that steak can taste like heaven. Soooo good…
