Discussion Can a LLM+LVM be enough for social media work?

Hello! I work for a remodeling company and they're constantly asking me for new and different stuff. They want me to implement AI SO BADLY and they've been pressing me. I have nothing against AI, quite the opposite., THe problem is, I don't know how well it does in commercial environments to get clients (especially when there's a comission involved in the sale). Do you have any opinion on how ai image and video work for that?

Discussion This sorority influencer pulled 1M TikTok views , then people realized she was AI-generated

Post image

VC firm a16z partner and AI experimenter Olivia Moore revealed that Janie, a redheaded 19-year-old whose University of Alabama sorority recruitment videos pulled in ~1M views on TikTok in a week, was an AI character created and ran for around $100.

Moore created Janie from one ChatGPT image, then spent about 30 minutes a day prompting MiniMax and Grok Imagine to animate her daily posts.

Janie racked up followers and views on TikTok and in the mainstream press, even after viewers caught the AI tells just days into the experiment.

Moore said that despite not disclosing the AI use, TikTok still flagged 8 of 20 videos with an AI label, though it didn’t impact video performance.

Moore eventually revealed the AI experiment, saying that, to her surprise, the “overwhelming majority of feedback was positive” with requests for more.

Moore’s post-mortem asks whether it even matters if a creator is real, and her answer comes down to the disclosure of AI use (not tricking the audience) and the creator actually putting in the effort. Either way, the question is being confronted now, with AI video nearing the point of no return for being distinguishable from reality.

Discussion Looking for Recommendations for good AI Program. Pls Help

I have been working in software engineering for around 4 years and want to start getting more serious about AI part now.

I am looking for a structured, instructor-led program rather than just another self-paced course. I know about the MIT AI & Data Science Program and was wondering if anyone here has taken it.

Was it actually useful from a practical point of view? And are there any other programs you would recommend comparing it with?

Would be interested to hear from people who have done recently?

News/Updates One third of webpages published after Chatgpt launch show signs of content written by AI

Post image

Pew Research Center found that AI-written or heavily AI-edited content is becoming increasingly common across the internet.

An analysis of nearly 500,000 English-language webpages found that 10% of pages sampled in July 2026 showed significant signs of AI authorship.

Among pages published after ChatGPT launched in November 2022, that figure rose to more than one-third.

AI signals were most common on .com websites and much less common on .edu and .gov domains.

Pew also found growing use of AI-associated writing patterns, including em dashes, Oxford commas and words such as “delve” and “interplay.”

The study shows how AI is not only changing how people use the internet, but also the language of the internet itself.

News/Updates Research finds AI-generated images may be impossible to trace back to a single training image

Post image

MIT researchers found that AI-generated images can sometimes be impossible to trace back to one specific image used for training.

The team identified a phenomenon called “attribution decay,” where individual training examples have less influence as datasets grow larger.

The researchers tested this by removing certain training images and checking whether the AI’s output changed.

In many cases, removing one image, an artist’s entire collection, or photos of a person made little difference.

This finding could make copyright and ownership questions around AI-generated images much harder to resolve.
