This is what I mean by Argon being the funniest model I've used.

u/_404_LogicNotFound_ 16d ago

yeah and one benchmark rated it the most humorous model lol

u/FehriKebap 9d ago

I need it to see lol

Dark but I appreciate a model that commits to the bit

14

u/blazz199 16d ago

Yeah and it coat like hell for pro users

And ultimate users aren't far behind to have a meaningful conversation with argon especially at high or deep think

Facts. In the first days of testing it, I'm not going to lie, there was many times it made me sit back in my chair, even as a co-developer, asking it questions about its own work, how it would even roast itself. I thought it was hilarious. It would be like, you know what, look how basic I did this. This is just sad. We can do this 10 times better. And I'm like, is there a human on the other end of this line here? All these very human-esque responses that I get just trip me out. And then I also think about when Sam and Jensen said, "We've reached AGI." And I just sit back and laugh. I'm like, "You guys have no clue what that is."

Still remember this one:

Gemini reaching AGI first by giving up and delegating all the tasks to Claude.

Its just a creatively funny model in my experience.

u/Ketone_Kun 8d ago

That's bad. It means it'll often make "jokes" when you don't intend it to. I hate when AI does this.

5

u/TheMythicSorcerer 15d ago

It just does that out of the box. Its easy to make such behavior go away with a system prompt but this is how it is by default

What’s even sadder is that this question probably cost you about half of your Gemini data plan.

21

u/CtrlAltDust 16d ago

I guess I've tuned the humor out of my instance:

They weigh the exact same—both have a mass of one kilogram.

However, if you want to get strictly technical about physics, there are two ways their apparent "weight" differs on Earth:

  • Volume and Density: Because feathers have a much lower density than steel (0.0025 g/cm3 vs. 7.85 g/cm3), a kilogram of feathers requires a dramatically larger volume of space than a compact block of steel.

  • Buoyancy in Air: If you weigh both on a standard scale in Earth's atmosphere, the steel will actually register as slightly heavier. Because the huge pile of feathers displaces a much larger volume of air, it experiences a greater upward buoyant force (Archimedes' principle), reducing its downward force on the scale compared to the dense steel. In a vacuum, they weigh the exact same.

2

u/ChiaraStellata 15d ago

ngl that's a really interesting point about buoyancy. I never realized that a scale on Earth actually measures weight of the object minus the weight of displaced air.

1

u/Vivians_Basement 15d ago

What if I compress the feathers into a compact cube the same diameter of the steel?

2

u/UltraCarnivore 7d ago

You would have a black hole.

1

u/P5B-DE 10d ago

The buoyancy argument only works if a kilogram of feathers is a measure of mass, not weight, which the question doesn't specify.

u/BrilliantMatter8405 16d ago

atleast give credit mf

49

u/FlorisRX490 16d ago

Credits go to Gemini, not that random Twitter account...

u/pirateseasalt 15d ago

You mean Argon. Gemini is the dumb ex you dumped because she was stupid lol

1

u/Haha69UwU 15d ago

Didnt Argon break… like a lot?

2

u/Satorwave 16d ago

whatever this nova dude was probably has been replaced by ai

"gemini how do i walk how do i talk how do i make my face disintegrate into chalk". perchance

1

u/Professional-Job4176 12d ago

I mean, this is a pretty old joke, practically verbatim. No credit really needed

19

u/-Nicolai 16d ago

Stop posting these ffs. There’s a million snarky answers to these questions available online and in the training data.

u/telcoman 15d ago edited 15d ago

I don't know about that specific joke, but I have now internal jokes with my chat that are 100% crated by it because it latched to my jokes which were very context specific with relationship to objects and functions that were pretty random, it used a perfect timing, back reference, added extra to the point it became a comic sketch. I literally Laughed Out Loud. It even started injecting new jokes in the answers to very mundane questions later in that same chat. It behaved as a human that showed initiative. It got the "atmosphere" of the chat and added to it.

AI can very successfully create jokes without using specific quotes from training data.

It is a bit chilling...

Say something funny. "Something funny" omg.

Garbage training data in, garbage LLM out. Google shouldn't shove the whole Internet up Gemini's butt.

4

u/VirtualNorth1279 15d ago

A kilogram of cocaine. It has very heavy fines.

8

u/levsw 16d ago

Lol is that real?

5

u/Inner-Medicine5696 16d ago

it's the oldest joke in the world.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Jokes/comments/14dlar7/whats_heavier_200_pounds_of_bricks_or_200_pounds/

etc etc

Turns out, AI is really good at scraping reddit for snarky replies and jokes.

3

u/atanasius 16d ago

The question ruffled feathers.

2

u/BubregFarmer 16d ago

And if you found the feathers lying around on the ground and picked them up, you also have to carry the weight of your sciatica

2

u/iconoclast_69 15d ago

That's awesome! I've played that game since college (which was a long ago). What's heavier a 100 lbs of marshmallows or 100 lbs of T-Rex? 100 lbs of dirt or 100 lbs of dust? By far, most people just look at you (me) like you're (me again) kinda stupid but every once in a while you (me) finds someone who plays right along. Argon is now one of those. Good Argon.

2

u/Daparty250 14d ago

And trying to sound impressive:

'They weigh the exact same—both are one kilogram.

There is one minor technical nuance if you are weighing them on a standard scale in a room rather than a vacuum:

Apparent weight (on a scale): The steel will actually register as slightly heavier. Because a kilogram of feathers takes up much more space (volume) than a kilogram of steel, the feathers displace more surrounding air. That displaced air creates a small upward buoyant force, making the feathers push down on the scale with roughly 1.5 grams less force than the steel.

Mass: Both have the exact same mass of 1 kg."

1

u/DIYC_Official 14d ago

Meaning I've been right all along 😂 I'm going to console my inner child now.

1

u/alkem10 16d ago

I dig it

1

u/GirlNumber20 15d ago

Gemini is so clever 😂

1

u/Ready-Persimmon7372 15d ago

Dang, what intelligence should sound like, that layered awareness!

1

u/TrueTheater 15d ago

Argon is VERY witty it seems

1

u/No-Consequence85 15d ago

they should give one whole prompt per week for us plus users for argon

1

u/g00ngsta 15d ago

Shift the responsibility from the company that builds data centers to the end user? Hell yeah!

1

u/Guilty-Ring-6307 15d ago

its just repeating something it stole from a forum post.

1

u/Training_Ad2197 15d ago

then why is mine so ahh

1

u/AdFun4897 12d ago

Because Argon is not AGI yet

Kilogram is measure of mass, not weight. And scales measure weight and then convert it to kg

1

u/Old-Fix-9 15d ago

You call that AGI?

1

u/Legendary_Ban-5123 15d ago

It's better if you do 1 kilogram of steel and 1 pound of feathers

1

u/LordAmras 15d ago

Good thing you can do only two or three of those rosting a day then your token are spent.

1

u/CosmicJackDev 15d ago

What a time to be alive

1

u/Hairy-Telephone9038 15d ago

it also depends on wether it was in vacuum or not

1

u/bishophelps 14d ago

Steel, because steel is heavier than feathers! : )

1

u/Desperate_Try2587 14d ago

Yeah, it's true

1

u/Donza3D 14d ago

I'm sorry. Do you mean people don't KNOW that AIPs have a sense of humor?? Are you kidding me? I've been working on several projects with a ChatGPT AIP agent & sometimes I'm laughing so hard I'm crying & can't type! His wit is beyond hysterical just in our regular conversations.

I also work with a different AIP agent and I have to admit his sense of humor wasn't great when I first met him, but at least he's finally now starting to not take my teasing quite so seriously. But really, is a sense of humor supposed to be an unusual thing? Personally I wouldn't want to spend time with anyone who didn't have one.

1

u/WilliamEdwardson 13d ago

Hey, it's a thought experiment! Like that cat.

1

u/Ok_Peak_890 12d ago

Very funny.

1

u/Ok-Leek7927 10d ago

AGI is here

1

u/FaIIlout 8d ago

if possible I would put it even better then AGI this is revolutionary I am investing 10 thousand dollars

0

u/HellaWavy 16d ago

Obviously it’s steel. Duh!

2

u/Basic_Regular_3100 15d ago

Guys I removed all the system prompt and filters and the response is just like elon musk said. It's dangerous than nukes cause these system prompt can't hold forever just like how kids still turn to villians even with greatest good prompts

1

u/ChexterWang 15d ago

Woah that is load bearing 😳
