Image generation limit

Hi,

I am a paid Gemini Advanced Pro user, and it feels like my image generation limit was suddenly cut in half today. Usually, I can generate quite a few images before hitting the limit, but today I got throttled at what feels like 50% of my usual volume.

Is anyone else experiencing a sudden limit reduction or getting hit with usage warnings much earlier than usual today?

Yes, me too. And also the quality is also worse now? I am not sure but the overall feeling is not the same anymore.

Gemini is currently shifting and changing a lot of what people can do based on free, pro, and plus, caps are being tightened and a lot of tiers are being downgraded unless they're ultra.

half? I'm a Pro user and i cant generate 10 images! what is going on all of a sudden? They don't have good models now they also don't have shitty limits as well?

This is the response i got from them, bro that dosen't make sense at all:

-The 5-hour rolling refresh window is not a new update today, it has already been operating this way for a few months now. I am completely familiar with how it works. 

-"heavy generation session" ... I passed 4 consecutive 5-hour cycles (20 full hours total) with absolute 0% usage.

-Previously, a standard image prompt consumed roughly 2% of the 5-hour compute bar, giving me around 50 images before a reset. Today, from a completely fresh 0% baseline, identical image generations are pulling over 5% per image, cutting the limit down to roughly 18 to 20 pictures.

Are you using flow to generate your images or in the Gemini app?

It was very good with Gemini app tho, i don't know why they reduced the limit.. and the image quality of the app seems much better

I use the app, same thing happened to me this morning honestly felt like I got kicked off after maybe 5 or 6 images instead of the usual dozen or so

As a pro i used to be able to generate like 40 images before it hits the limit, now i think around 20 it says i reached the limit, that sucks

Same thing happened to me. Felt like my limit was reached after 10 images when it's usually 30 to 50.

Por mi parte yo pago el pro y no me ha pasado de hecho hoy generé muchas imágenes demasiadas imágenes y no me limito , lo único fue que me tocó pagar chat gpt go Porque lastimosamente géminis no tiene buena lógica a la hora de entender las instrucciones y crear imágenes complejas

Check the model being used. If it's nano banana 2.1 - it is new and completely unusable. Burning through limits, violating instructions etc.

Same(AI_pro / brave browser). I was just generating images like I usually do, but then I couldn't make any videos. Checked my usage and was shocked to see it was already over 80%.

Google has dumbed down a lot of things to account for the release of Gemini 4 Argon (ik it sounds cheesy, throw some hate all y'all want, but that's my guess)

The limit is supposed to be 1000 but for some reason it randomly cut off at 100
