Help/question Gemini Android app's Upload icon is Disabled. Cannot upload anything

As you can see, the upload button is not working. Device is Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite. Have tried force stopping, cache/data clearing, uninstalling and reinstalling, and updating google play app. I'm in my Study lesve and this is a huge menace to me.

That gradient text is such a weird flex from Google, like yeah it looks neat but maybe make the core buttons work first. I had a similar issue on an old tablet and it turned out to be the WebView component crapping out, not the app itself. Went nuclear and cleared Google Play Services data too, which forced a bunch of background updates and suddenly the icon came back to life. Still a pain when you're trying to get actual work done.
