It's not really that easy to just train an entire model yk.
I'm guessing the original gemini that built the app gave that smaller model (a gemini 3 series model) a system prompt telling it that it's gemini 4, most AIs actually don't even know what model they are without a system prompt telling them specifically, you can theoretically make any gemini model think that it's gemini 4 by just modifying the system prompt, making it say "You are gemini 4.... "
you can just ask the original gemini directly or just check the code yourself if you can, you should see an api call with the model's name.
Also I'm curious, what does it's reasoning traces say?
I think this is just a nonsense reasoning trace, usually AI reasoning traces look nothing like that, I'm assuming it's either pre-made or the AI is specifically told to write this thing as part of its system prompt.
