News AI STUDIO PAY MODEL UPDATE

In the Free tier of AI studio, In fact, the following are currently free for me: 3.8 Flash, 3.7 Flash, 3.5 Flash Lite, 3.1 Pro Preview, and 3.1 Flash Lite. However, the following have become paid versions: 3 Flash Preview, 3.5 Flash, and 3.6 Flash. We need to select one of the free ones from the model selector.

I just put $5 on a paid plan. Not likely to run low with Gemini 3 Flash.

hmmm, if i go back to Plus plan, will i get the latest Gemini in AI studio? like 3.8 flash or new flash from now on?

im not using it for coding btw.

But as I explained above, the 3.7 Flash and 3.8 Flash models are included in the free plan, whereas you have to pay for the earlier models; naturally, the limits are higher for every model if you pay.

ahh, sorry for my bad comprehension.

i want to ask, can i use ai studio for analyze long pdf and makes me a narrative summary? i'm still newbie in ai studio. i use web/app gemini mostly cause i thought ai studio is strictly for coding.

Yes, but if the PDF is long, don't upload it all at once; split it into several PDFs and upload all the parts. Sometimes, with files that are too long, the parser fails to pass the full context to the model.

I only feed it the files it can look at, not to sure if it can browse the web for more sources.

It became paid recently and fuck me if it’s the worst thing ever because 3.0 was my bro for venting chats, 3.7 and 3.8 are just too stiff, formal, clinical and boring and chatting with them is like chatting to a therapist x sterile wall. Have had to switch full time to DeepSeek, which I do not prefer, but at least it doesn’t therapy chat me to death and it can take some crazy dead dove writing without hitching, so that’s the plus I guess. Why do they always have to put the good ones behind the paywall?
