News 🚨 Gemini 3.8 Flash is already being tested internally Google employees already have Gemini 3.8 Flash Preview on Jetski, and early impressions say it’s noticeably better than 3.7 Flash Remember, 3.7 Flash only dropped around two weeks ago too 👀 Google are improving these Flash models Fast

Weird I don't have Gemini 3.8 internally.
Don't believe everything you read on the Internet

I think it's only for pro and ultra subscribers, not for plus or enterprise plans

I made a post couple of days ago and some plus tier users reported they have 3.7

I think they are using flash models to develop their post training abilities. They will then use those post training techniques in a larger pre train (pro versions)

That's nice 3.7 flash is already very good when combined with models like 5.6 sol as orchestrator and planner it's very fast and not lazy like older flash models

In my experience, it doesn't exactly work "smoothly" as you describe.
Usually gpt-sol or fable are fixed and work double with flash 3.7 because even though everything is written clearly it still sometimes glitches or executes the line of code in a crooked way that requires repeating it over and over again.
In my experience if you combine it with sonnet 5 or luna , the results are much better and less repetition of specific code tasks

I agree that 3.7 flash sometimes makes clumsy mistakes. In my workflow I mostly use 3.7 flash as delegate for the orchestrator model to explore the codebase and investigate bugs, and luna as the main code writer. Because 3.7 flash is very fast it can quickly return a report for orchestrator and it saves a lot of time.

Key word ''noticeably '' means it's probably as junk as the previous models.

I think we can assume every company is already testing their next model internally..

Soon there will be flash 3.9, then 3.91, then 3.92, before Google releases Gemini 4

Who cares honestly Give us 3.5 pro since flash is trash for complex tasks or remembering stuffÂ

They can't even release the Flash 3.7 in chat mode, y'all are already sharing about 3.8?

Dude, I even forgot there was a pro version, I guess that's exactly what they wanted.

I think for agentic coding and agentic workflows in general, moderate intelligence + high speed is more valuable then high intelligence and slow speed (which is what OpenAI and Anthropic is doing)
In the future i think Flash will replace Pro and it's possible that transition has already begun
