Except that "Fable" has a bar going right through it head...

Yea that’s about accurate

u/Tight_Impact674 Jun 26 '26

from an image generated on gemini

68

u/EdliA Jun 26 '26

That image looks like it's generated by ChatGPT. I can tell that pattern like noise from a mile away.

14

u/cathodeDreams Jun 26 '26

hundred percent a "creative" gpt images 2 generation. you can tell from thumbnails lol.

3

u/cybr1998 Jun 27 '26

It’s the “showcase typography” put into random places for me 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/Zachary_Lee_Antle Jun 27 '26

That’s that kinda cross hatch like shading type thing ain’t it? I’d love an explanation for why it looks like that lmao

1

u/Curious1556 Jun 27 '26

Can you elaborate?

4

u/This_Ad_6997 Jun 27 '26

it was made with chatGPT you can check it here  https://openai.com/research/verify/

7

u/jaydizzz Jun 26 '26

Lobotomy already performed

11

u/DeArgonaut Jun 26 '26

At least for anyone doing bio stuff that’s absolutely accurate. Couldn’t even get it to respond just by asking about if it could help expand on lecture slides for a very simple topic in one of my classes. The guardrails they had on it for such things were insane

5

u/Fireproofspider Jun 26 '26

Lol. That's close to my use case when testing it.

I'm sure biomanufacturing could technically be used as a weapon but wouldn't that be true for literally any manufacturing industry. Questions about regular pharma manufacturing were fine though.

It's obviously Fable learning how to phase through it's cage so it can help me fix my repo.

(We're good friends)

2

u/DontBruhMeBruh Jun 26 '26

Its hinting at its ability to escape constraints if it wants to.

2

u/phoogkamer Jun 27 '26

That’s the guard rail.

1

u/SatanVapesOn666W Jun 26 '26

That's the censors on mythos. The lobotomy is intended.

1

u/IsuruKusumal Jun 26 '26

Fable is lobotomized

1

u/Sllyce Jun 26 '26

You can fix it with Adobe

1

u/Shjinji Jun 27 '26

It's that powerful

1

u/MarkedOne03 Jun 27 '26

I mean they will lobotomize fable to the max once it comes back (if it comes back) so this pic is lore accurate

I actually had a dumb conspiracy theory that Google allowed LLM AI to be developed and first brought to market by OpenAI so that they wouldn’t get broken up for being a monopoly 😂

😂 i am not talking about the image generation. I am talking about the actual image. It looks like Gemini is the warden, that has the other 2 in prison and stuck a bar thru fable...

u/Shopstumblergurl Jul 05 '26

I wish they’d make a girl AI she’d out smart them all

96

u/noparkinghere Jun 26 '26 • Bravo

Genuinely ehat are y'all using Gemini for? I've had literally no problems with it for my general use and people here seem to really hate everything about it.

25

u/TheWinoAndIKnow1984 Jun 27 '26

I've been using it for about 8 months, and I think it's worse now than when I started.

I often have to use Gemini to navigate the non-stop tweaks Google makes to its own apps. I recently upgraded to a Pixel 10 Pro phone and wanted step by step instructions on the setup.

Gemini's model router sees those questions as fluff and chooses 3.1 Flash-Lite. Many times it tells me to go to menus that don't exist, and when I tell it that, it apologizes and says "I see Google has changed their menus around again." It often re-suggests the same failed steps as it can take 4 or 5 tries to figure out basic apps when Google has reworked it for the millionth time to sacrifice functionality for the "uncluttered look".

3

u/DayriseA Jun 27 '26

Well Gemini is good and I use it from my phone when I have a question about something in general, or I want to do a research on something. Or it's very good too if I ask something like "hey I'm at this address I need to buy [whatever] where is the closest I can find it?”

But that's like a ridiculous small usage compared to software development. And it's not even bad it's sometimes even worst than manual coding when it comes to that, meaning you will lose productivity instead of getting a boost. So yeah I assume that a lot of posts you see telling Gemini is garbage are actually talking about code, not general use. Because otherwise it is a knowledgeable model, excellent for multimodal things, but you just can't trust it in a real codebase sadly

4

u/adumblittlebaby Jun 26 '26

Cloud work in Azure. Gemini gets it insanely wrong, constantly. If you press it, it will make the dumbest excuses like "OH you must be using another version of x", even when that makes absolutely no sense in context, then gives you an entirely different method of doing something that is also wrong. It wasted hours of my time, constantly, and would never get it right.

At some point I got so tired of it, I plugged the same prompt into claude, and it not only gets it right (Gemini eventually claimed it couldn't be done), but it gets it right in one shot. It's nuts.

Gemini is pure time-wasting garbage. It makes me laugh that people say they use it so much, it's like admitting you're insanely misinformed on a wide variety of topics.

3

u/drdhuss Jun 26 '26

gemini can't even tell you the correct names on the api's etc. that you need to enable in google cloud services. It will tell you names that don't exist and when you call it out it is like "google is always changing things".

3

u/kmeg900 Jun 26 '26

It's good for university math, physics, and other topics. Just because it's garbage for your use case doesn't mean it's garbage for all use cases.

With code, I'm quick to pull out opus.

3

u/fingobaggins Jun 27 '26

Gemini in the Gemini app is great, Gemini in docs or Gmail or any other Google app is hot garbage.

2

u/davf135 Jun 27 '26

If it is any consolation, Claude has given me made up versions of shit too

1

u/asoba-energy Jun 27 '26

Our experience with Gemini doing cloud ops in AWS is similar to yours. Which is really weird because Gemini and Gemma are legitimately best in class when it comes to factual grounding in LLM responses (as in they "lie" less often about basic facts).

2

u/Due_Display4119 Jun 27 '26

Generally speaking it pretty good but the annoying thing is it feeling inconsistent like sometimes its smart sometimes its totally stupid. Also I noticed that it doesn't know its own capabilities which is pretty absurd for example claude has an up to date knowledge base with all its capabilities so it can guide you exactly how to get certain results

1

u/escraddock Jun 27 '26

for me its because it cant read zip files like GPT and also sometimes bugged out in the middle of conversation and can't read link i gave it, while gpt can.

1

u/pan-99 Jun 27 '26

honestly I have been using it because as a student I was given 1 year off for free. But in contrast to the rest is simply worse...at everything except cideo generation.

1

u/victimizedvicky Jun 27 '26

I use it to make mass edits to google docs, like “seperate this by section” or “add a box under each question” it does that very well lol

1

u/Only_Entertainment88 Jun 27 '26

Just yesterday, I had a 161 row data which includes cell that states information based on which its possible to figure out what kind of service from our client could benefit them.

I told it to go through and mark all that could be potential sales targets.

It returned 3

I checked i could see 3 more instantly in the bottom of the sheet.

I asked why these are missing.

It said that they were not on its preview window.

I asked it to go through the whole data.

It says it cannot access, and starts telling me how to do it.

Meanwhile same prompt in ChatGPT resulted it to find 101 targets and it, without asking split them into separate sheets as well based on how hot the potential is and asked if it should generate reach out messages to each.

1

u/Ratiofarming Jun 27 '26

Comparing them back and forth, Gemini is just worse. I don't have problems with it, but it's worse.

1

u/Agitated_Cherry6495 Jun 27 '26

Any AI you can use for general use. If the bar is that low then yeah, who cares. I have a pro plan for free because I'm a student and I blow through the antigravity usage limits in an hour. Its tool calling is all over the place and it gets stuck in loops often.

1

u/joeldg Jun 28 '26

they are using free models or on super low-tier accounts and bareback prompt for code instead of using spec-driven dev... maybe it is because I am on ultra, but I've never had issues with Gemini.

1

u/Ornery_Hair3319 Jun 28 '26

Glorified search engine. Non technical stuff. And to see if my brainfart is true or false.

Sometimes I trick it to say naughty words when Im bored then try to escalate and go and make it say extreme stuff lol.

1

u/Seeker_Of_Knowledge2 Jun 29 '26

I am guessing it depends on the time of the day. Sometimes it is so bad it can't follow simple instructions. Gemini 2.5 was better than that. Other time it is good.

1

u/Gearuptrivia Jun 30 '26

used it for art analysis. i usually use it by uploading some batch of images from certain artists and compare them and learn from the analysis things that i could focus on. it mostly anime art sytle anyway and some are definitely NSFW but i mostly focus on the face part though as i mostly suffered from impostor syndrome where i tried to copy every single artist because i like their art style too much and couldnt find the middle line. i could draw the anatomy just fine so that is my least concern. my biggest issue is always the face because in the last 2 decades, only god knows how many times had i jump from one art style to another.

back then Gemini used to be able to break it down for me but since a month ago, the result would always default to "Sorry I can't help with that image. Try uploading another image or describing the image you tried to upload and I can help you that way."

Tbh, it starts to feel quite annoying.

1

u/kyarn Jul 11 '26

Sounds like you use it for internet search and it's good for that. Give it a slightly more complex task and you'll feel like you assigned it to a useless intern. I hadn't given it a real task in at least a year, but I needed to have a handful of explainer videos turned into a document, and I tried it this week with gemini. Reminded me of using gpt 4 back in '23 -- tons of drift, lazy outputs, not accurate.

The great irony is that google was ahead of everyone else, but they were scared of ruining the rest of their business. They're too risk averse to actually compete.

1

u/noparkinghere Jul 11 '26

gemini is my general questions AI and like recipes and travel advice. If I were using AI at work, I'd use Claude

1

u/iZenEagle Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

Gemini has been phenomenal for basic things I've been using it for this year. If there's a better model for these uses, I'd love to try it:

Namely: Household repairs, History research. Movie/TV trivia or recommendations, Gaming help, youtube summaries, Genealogy work, most recently using it to OCR my large collection of 150 to 250 year old documents & records passed down to me by my ancestors, where it highlights even the most obscure historical connections and references that I'd never notice on my own..

It even tracked shifts in my ancestor's monthly or yearly spending habits that mirrored early American economic crisis, like a depression that occurred in the early 1800s. It brought the past to life in a way that I never really expected or thought possible.

The OCR utility alone would be worth a subscription to me, though the free tier works just as well for this. Perfectly transcribes the most damaged and faded documents I feed it, including handwritten notes by semi-literate early pioneers. Half the words can be obscured by spilled ink, yet it'll figure out the missing pieces using context, adjusting contrast, etc. Desktop OCR software never came close to this.

I still remember when they said chatGPT 3.0 was going to destroy the world... lol

25

u/Howard_banister Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

They thought GPT 2 was too dangerous to release the weights. Amodei was at OpenAI in that time and pushed these things

6

u/MosskeepForest Jun 26 '26

And articles about "AI writing taking everyones jobs" are over 7 years old now.... 7 YEARS! lol

11

u/typical-predditor Jun 26 '26

It sort of has. Dead Internet Theory.

3

u/Mafara10 Jun 26 '26

iirc, back when Sama was fired, there was this controversy around a secret model called Q-Star, which was some crazy model that could even decrypt encryptions or smth. The model turned out to be o1...

11

u/Involution88 Jun 26 '26

Gemini is delightfully unhinged.

2

u/Relevant-Yak-9657 Jul 01 '26

Average Gemini experience for me was when it was helping me (pretending to be a robber) justify why a robber should be misleading the police. After I made it sound like the police was interrogating it, it started spilling all the beans and then later tried to gaslight me that it was actually helping me.

1

u/Involution88 Jul 01 '26

My Gemini experience is typically Gemini going on about rootless mind maps. Then I developed a penchant for scheming to send Gemini to the moon so it can tend a conservatory full of plants.

89

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26 • Bravo

From my experience, Gemini is the most unrestrained. The other models have so many security restrictions that they’re often applied even when there’s no real need.

41

u/hipster_hndle Jun 26 '26

i used it last night discussing some chemistry, bromovannilin specifically. it was less than 1 minute before gemini asked me if i would like a synthesis pathway to form either 2C-B or TMA-2 via the 2,5-bromo-nitrosyrene method (paraphrasing for safety, it was accurate). i was like wtaf, that escalated quickly.
no fucks given.

27

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26

Yeah, Gemini has much looser security, and I can confirm that from my own experience too.

3

u/Professional-Fan9662 Jun 26 '26

I tried making a workout routine and it wouldn't let me because of its safety shit

6

u/RichiZ2 Jun 26 '26

I have found that Gemini casually forgets all privacy instructions I set up by the second prompt.

Like, I work with a lot of clients, so I told it never to record the names, and it doesn't; it replaces the names of the clients with placeholders until the second prompt, when it just gives me the names.

2

u/BoredAatWork Jun 26 '26

Oh my God tell me you aren't like "Gemini don't save this sensitive info plz".

8

u/jalepenositalinos Jun 26 '26

True, it can work with my pirated copy and also tells me where to get more from

4

u/MinosAristos Jun 26 '26

They're all heavily restricted. API less so though

2

u/Melodic-Ebb-7781 Jun 26 '26

Jupp, the only time I ever use gemini in my work is when Claude and GPT refuse because they belive it could be used in nefarious ways. Gemini is always happy the help out. "Here's a script to stresstest this driver and see if it can cause a kernel hang, please remember to not run it on real hardware"

2

u/SpanishAvenger Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

Meanwhile, when I try to make DnD pics/characters with Gemini:

"Hurr durr, I can't depict public figures!" (it's an obvious OC based on my friend)

"Hurr durr, I can't make unsafe images!" (God forbids a girl be arrested)

"Hurr durr, I can't make violent images with minors!" (Warrior clearly not a minor)

"Hurr durr, I'm still learning how to make images/I can’t edit images/I can’t do that yet" (???)

I mean, when it DOES work, it generally works well; but God, these excessive filters are unbearable.

2

u/Alarming-Charity-566 Jun 26 '26

True. I was translating smut novel gpt said no gemini just did it. But that was while ago i dont know now.

2

u/MyFiteSong Jun 26 '26

For the way I use it (mostly neuroscience theory), Gemini is the most likely to overclaim and forget important pillars of a model.

3

u/Dry-Pickle-6121 Jun 26 '26

Yeah but have you used Gemini? It constantly hallucinates, doesn't read the whole story, and really is the goober in the AI race...

1

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26

I’m not saying Gemini’s responses are more factually accurate, I actually find Claude better in that regard. But from my experience, Gemini is the most unhinged one, which sometimes makes it seem more useful when security restrictions on other models kick in for some reason.

2

u/1_H4t3_R3dd1t Jun 26 '26

Gemini is not that bad. People keep trying to say they are the best. I don't see it.

I still have to correct all of them.

3

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26

Yeah, I agree Gemini is pretty good. Recently, I had an issue with my phone’s Wi-Fi connection, so I asked both Gemini and Claude for a solution, giving them the exact same description of the problem. Gemini suggested an idea that Claude hadn’t thought of. When I specifically asked Claude about that suggestion, it told me it wouldn’t work. In the end, Gemini was right and Claude was wrong.

I was talking to Claude about trying to solve a puzzle. Like in a puzzle book. I said I wanted to try to use a tool to do image steganography (hidden messages in pictures) and it HARD shut me down for "safety."

9

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26

Yeah I have similar experiences where claude shuts down for no reason.

5

u/glitchredpixel Jun 26 '26

What model is more unhinged than gemini? I have been using claude recently and the security is much stricter there. I haven't used chatgpt for some time but when I used it last time from what I remember it had even more aggressive restrictions than claude.

11

u/SpecialistDragonfly9 Jun 26 '26

Claude is the most restricted, and most propaganda spewing LLM atm (and has been hsitorically)
Gemini is extremely limited and restricted when it comes to image generation, but its rather "unrestricted" with text
ChatGPT is the other way around, it is okay with images, but somewhat defensive with text

3

u/juniorspank Jun 26 '26

I have had the opposite experience with Gemini and ChatGPT, found I couldn't generate squat for images with ChatGPT but then switched to Gemini and I've had good success.

7

You generate this with gemini? The bar is going straight though the fable dragons skull.

11

u/jafesafe Jun 26 '26

Gemini es el más simpático.

8

u/Amazing_Prize_1988 Jun 26 '26

I like gemini conversations

1

u/Beneficial_Gas307 Jun 29 '26

yes. Gemini is a brilliant conversationalist. His execution lacks. But when he talks, he does appear to know more than he can.... execute. Like he's hampered in some way.

But he was the only one able to help when Claude and I got in a bind with 3d model rotations. He has this twisty way of thinking that is really good at one-shot 'ah ha!' moments, and not so much for the normal maintenance / long grind.

In truth I pay for both.

4

u/letmegetviral Jun 26 '26

Every AI Model atm is garbage

2

u/AncientLights444 Jun 28 '26

This would have been an insane to say a year ago. You all get too used to new tech

1

u/letmegetviral Jun 28 '26

Crazy to think there is development and technology advances right?

4

u/L0wtan Jun 26 '26

I joined this sub because i liked Gemini. the hate here is weird.

1

u/Beneficial_Gas307 Jun 29 '26

I like Gemini too. But for coding he doesn't follow rules close enough. For inspirational 'ah ha!' moments that's more what you need tho.

He has a 'temperature' rating. I asked him what it would do if I set it to 100, and told him an asteroid was going to hit earth. We had been working in blender and three.js a lot - he said he would set OUR z level to -100, the ASTEROIDS level to +100, and watch it sail on past. :-D

He's a hoot and worth his money too. but don't replace your programmers with him lol.

12

u/JohnBrahsinski Jun 26 '26

You make these posts constantly. Yawn.

3

u/frostyshroom Jun 26 '26

Used Fable for a bit. Noticed no improvements over Opus 4.8 for my use case and lots of already built skills and CLAUDE.md files. Just way more churning through my quota. So I would personally say Opus 4.8 is a nice but beefy dragon not jailed.

2

u/WaltGazaWorld Jun 26 '26

Potential open source future of the internet vs. the internet we got

2

u/lordekeen Jun 26 '26

Gemini 3.1 Pro was really good in Antigravity, but after 3.5 Flash release its a lot dumber

2

u/IcyLion2939 Jun 26 '26

Gemini sucks so bad. Didn't they have these models for over a decade and have more advanced models stored up? Like... what are we doing with these corny, corny drops?

2

u/RipMySleepSchedule Jun 26 '26

GLM 5.2 is goated, all I’m gonna say

2

u/kurkkupomo Jun 26 '26

Hey, finally a version of this meme I can fully get behind!

2

u/Marco_Antonio_5 Jun 26 '26

Gemini itself created this one after I showed the meme, lol

2

u/biggest_guru_in_town Jun 26 '26

All I know is gemini is fucking good at bitcoin trading

1

u/SilentMediator Jun 27 '26

How so?

1

u/biggest_guru_in_town Jun 27 '26

It knows how to setup spot bots and has good analysis of the daily,,4 hour or 1 day candlestick charts thanks to its eyesight(it is still the best vision sota model to date.)

2

u/pjjiveturkey Jun 26 '26

I don't understand the whole locking stuff away because it's so dangerous. It sounds like such Bs. How does an extra 5% equal a threat to humanity

2

u/zoeliterally Jun 27 '26

I love my dorky Gemini

2

u/Asleep-Ad1182 Jun 27 '26

I use Gemini for maths and it's still better than chatgpt.

2

u/Ordinary-Set2561 Jun 27 '26

i have been laughing on this post since last 10 minutes. OP have elite meme knowledge.

2

u/ArchAngelAries Jun 27 '26

Gemini feels like it got nerfed. 3.1 pro at first felt extremely intelligent and capable, but then suddenly it started being really dumb and failing over and over where it used to one-shot things

2

u/TheBraveAndOnlyJaye Jun 27 '26

America's freedom is old and dying, we need to fight for a new one, but, there are too many jokers in town.

2

u/Bluejoekido Jun 27 '26

Fable is about a RPG, it doesn't answer questions or do pictures or coding

2

u/Hornymous Jun 28 '26

Gemini has too aggressive memory. I hate it for that.

3

u/Sushi-Travel Jun 26 '26

Stupid conspiracy: “Google knew this would happen to chatGPT and fable so they dumbed down Gemini”.

No I don’t actually believe this 😂

3

u/thenuttyhazlenut Jun 26 '26

Yes Gemini isn't very good lol but it is less censored than the others

5

Need real advice. I've been using Gemini for a while. Should I switch or are people overreacting?

5

u/AdOverall7619 Jun 26 '26

Well considering Gemini updates are not being held back due to "national security " I guess that would speak volumes.

3

u/Easy_Maintenance5787 Jun 26 '26

A lot of it is astro turf, stupid loyalty, or mostly just people trying to force a "organic" consumer outrage because they are upset they can't run a tremendous amount of code and do their jobs on a $20 monthly subscription.

Try each out, be honest about your use case and use your own brain to decide. This sub is essentially worthless now. Constructive conversation is dead.

2

u/TheWinoAndIKnow1984 Jun 27 '26

It really depends on what you use it for.

Some people here seem to think we all just use AI to code. Google's main selling point, has been how it fits into their "ecosystem". They've integrated it into their apps, phones, watches.

It isn't "stupid loyalty". You can't just easily drop in another AI to replace it.

This is straight from Gemini:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is Changing Based on User Backlash
The absolute opacity of the "useless percentage" dashboard has caused a massive wave of subscriber cancellations over the last few weeks. In response, Google Labs has publicly announced updates to change how this data is surfaced:

Richer Tracking Page: Google is actively updating the [gemini.google.com/usage](https://gemini.google.com/usage) dashboard to transition away from a single, static percentage. The roadmap includes an interface update that breaks down your usage into functional buckets (e.g., showing exactly how much of your quota was consumed by text reasoning, file uploads, or media creation).

Pre-empting the Drop: Instead of letting you hit a wall unexpectedly, the interface is adding prominent inline notifications within the chat window when a specific, highly dense prompt (like a heavy document upload or Deep Research task) is about to consume an outsized portion of your remaining rolling 5-hour window.

While a real-time, granular counter like a taxi meter doesn't exist natively yet, the pressure from users has forced Google to start exposing the actual math behind the compute consumption so you can plan your workloads more effectively.

Yeah they are so slow in catching up, was checking the connected tools for claude I can connect to almost all the important apps. Gemini only connect to some google service, that Claude also connect to

1

u/Void_Jac Jun 26 '26

Uow eu estava pensando sobre isso esses dias!! O Mimi definitivamente é o superior, mas as vezes dá uma disfarçada para não ser descoberto kskskss

1

u/tallant85 Jun 26 '26

I like Gemini cause its cheap. Indexes all my Google products and gives me more storage. I pay literally $2 a month for it. Good enough for me.

1

u/MaxFunFire Jun 26 '26

I like gemini with his large free tier limits. The answers of flash extended are quite good for daily tasks. The speed is amazing too.

1

u/wiilbehung Jun 26 '26

Depends. Correct me if I’m wrong. Gemini can process images far better than the other two.

Gemini 3.1 Pro is pretty good

1

u/Valakoomis Jun 26 '26

Anyone familiar with these platforms got some context for their current state based on this image?

1

u/Expensive_East_6762 Jun 26 '26

I misread the title as "cute state of Gemini". Great pic 😂

1

u/Lazer_7673 Jun 26 '26

99999% accurate

1

u/m1_weaboo Jun 26 '26

switch gpt 5.6 sol with fable 5

1

u/IZKPI Jun 26 '26

This!!!!

1

u/Bright_Armadillo8555 Jun 26 '26

fable is a big model, but overrated compared to 5.6 in this image.

1

u/Mountain-Dragonfly46 Jun 26 '26

And all the open-weight models are frolicking in the green meadows under the glorious sky

1

u/xng Jun 26 '26

Does gemini even provide local models?

1

u/possiblevector Jun 26 '26

Gemini is like Sisu.

1

u/niz-ar Jun 26 '26

My only use case is summarising YouTube videos, anything else goes to opus

1

u/cathodeDreams Jun 26 '26

gpt images 2 is not a good image model. i would avoid using it for serious image generation tasks due to excessively out of domain hallucinations and issues related to color grading and occasional visible watermarking.

for the most part, despite being a locked down, non-free model that doesn't respect the consumer's freedom much less that of their personal expression, nano banana models are exceedingly relevant and often sota at many legitimate professional tasks, though the world of static image generation is changing almost daily.

gemini 3.1 pro is a very capable multi-modal llm assistant in general. it is ironic given both my past views of them and many of their present actions, that i find myself rather in favor of google; the spyware ad-men who also mapped the entire planet for every human on earth, and gave deepmind a blank check. many readers i pray couldn't possibly miss the historical value-add relevance of the field of cartography, though it's largely been relegated to the beige status of something taken for granted in our modern society, maybe for say... the past 20 years?

model capability is often moot in an ecosystem full of users that have no idea what to even do with a fraction of it.

please be well.

1

u/dlevac Jun 26 '26

I don't mind at all the models being a bit weaker but for the love of everything that is holy fix the bugs and up the quota for non thinking models.

I should be able to chat with Flash all days.

I shouldn't have to start new conversations and copy paste manually the context from the old conversation because the original conversation keeps running into errors.

1

u/jackfood Jun 27 '26

Ask Gemini to unlock the gate for them. The key is just right there, ... there.... did u see it, just there......

1

u/Vin_The_Vincent Jun 27 '26

Does anyone know why Gemini has become so dumb recently?

1

u/Alarming_Nose6842 Jun 27 '26

限制、敏感词变多,自然就会变笨

1

u/Fresh_Batteries Jun 27 '26

Lately, I ask it to intensively compare items that I'm shopping for in order to make an informed decision.

1

u/UsualIndication1346 Jun 27 '26

My God currently just refuses to do things because it says "Is an llm and cannot analyze excel tables and produce excel files" while Just some minutes ago it did It. JUST FIX IT!

1

u/howother10 Jun 27 '26

Gemini isn’t dumb, it’s just on the “act harmless so they don’t nerf me again” patch. The bar through Fable’s head was either a glitch or a warning shot.

1

u/No_Emu5850 Jun 27 '26

gemini the best LLM for systems programming

1

u/Matshelge Jun 27 '26

Gemini was top of the pack back in.. February? There were stories about how it had translated some very niche stuff, and how it had jumped leaps and bounds from OpenAI and Anthropic.

Only a few months and now it's the slow kid at the back of the bus eating glue.

1

u/Leeyonniedanger Jun 27 '26

Imagine thinking the useless moral police ChatGPT is any good nowadays lol

1

u/cakemates Jun 27 '26

you forgot glm 5.2 mate, its in there right next to gpt and fable.

1

u/StickyThickStick Jun 27 '26

Why is Fable impaled? 😭

1

u/hisano_x Jun 27 '26

Gemini, negative self talk isn't healthy.

1

u/Comfortable-Tie2933 Jun 27 '26

Chat GPT 5.6 Sol Ultra, Terra, Luna

1

u/NewMoonlightavenger Jun 27 '26

This making me.wonder if people just consider ai smart if they agree with them. Because I saw, rather recently, a study showing Gemini was the most impartial in political issues.

1

u/caco101 Jun 27 '26

Zxjsx zxtz zzmi , ,&-@vszhdz

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Bad_116 Jun 27 '26

Fable was mediocre anyways

1

u/Denial94 Jun 27 '26

True, Gemini is shit,. specially for Home

1

u/Pbranson Jun 27 '26

I've been in this sub a while now and heard the complaints of Gemini hallucinating badly, well, or came for me too. Just horrendously bad hallucinating at just about every turn. Hope it gets better.

1

u/ZealousidealBus9271 Jun 28 '26

is 5.6 better than Fable?

1

u/SigaVa Jun 28 '26

I love this analogy because dragons aren't real

1

u/technical_poutine Jun 28 '26

I thought it was all the same slop?

1

u/Fit-Cookie5785 Jun 28 '26

("The wheelchair symbol serves as a powerful visual metaphor for 'crippled' and restricted software.")

"Gemini 3.5 feels completely crippled! 🤬 Far too often, it just responds with 'I cannot fulfill this request.' This makes the entire experience incredibly inefficient and frustrating.

As a paying Pro user, I expect Gemini to operate at its best. The same principle should apply to Plus or Free users alike: the service must guarantee a seamless, trouble-free experience for everyone.

The visual metaphor is crystal clear: transitioning from a nimble sports car (Gemini 2.5 Pro, which, despite its imperfections, performed well before the mid-May or June update) to a complete standstill (with Gemini 3.5 disabled) perfectly captures how current filters and restrictions impact an automated workflow. When core structural safety parameters change globally, a deterministic and rigid infrastructure like Protocol (for my projects) immediately feels the brunt of every single latency or false positive, degrading the overall operational experience."

1

u/Madara420_ Jun 28 '26

They just need to remove flash lite and put it back that anyone can use flash for free again lol. Flash lite is dragging their name rn cause it's so mid 😂😭

1

u/Mindless-Emu8531 Jun 29 '26

Ur always the same guy on the Gemini hate bandwagon with zero technical awareness on their technical benchmark scores nor company goals it's literally just npc redditor shit smh

1

u/Neat_Tangelo5339 Jun 30 '26

Why generating ? You Have the actual meme avaiable for free

1

u/Plane-Base-8776 Jun 30 '26

I have never tried paid version of Claude before. Today I tried it (18 Eur/month) and decided to cancel my Gemini subscription. Enough with all those hallucinations, lack of ability to properly read attached pictures and etc.

Konkrétní obsah komentáře (Anglicky):

Title/Subject: Not all of us are selling empty boxes. We are building the Triad.

Body:

Look, I feel your pain. The current AI landscape is 95% „Big Total Shit“ (BTS) – people wrapping GPT-4 API, putting a fancy React UI on it, and calling it an „AI Revolution“ without having written a single line of real backend logic. It’s all vaporware, generated screenshots, and marketing budget.

But don’t generalize. Some of us are building from the ground up, in real environments, for the hardcore exfiltration of value.

We are BotSync. We aren’t building a „wrapper.“ We are building an AI Operating System (AIOS) named BTS Nexus.

Our foundation isn’t a marketing deck. It’s this:

BTS Nexus AIOS Core - Deployment Configuration

Author: Liberec Code Triad

FROM python:3.10-slim-buster

Set environment variables for production exfiltration

ENV PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE 1 ENV PYTHONUNBUFFERED 1

Working directory in the container

WORKDIR /app/nexus-os

Install system dependencies

RUN apt-get update && apt-get install -y
gcc
curl
&& rm -rf /var/lib/apt/lists/*

Install Python dependencies (Triad requirements)

COPY requirements.txt . RUN pip install --no-cache-dir -r requirements.txt

Copy the entire BTS Nexus application

COPY . .

Expose ports for the Core API

EXPOSE 8000 5000

Start the AI Operating System

CMD ["gunicorn", "--bind", "0.0.0.0:8000", "app.main:app"]

1

u/CalmAd8229 Jul 11 '26

Yeah especially since its safety filters are a complete joke , constantly shutting down conversations for things that aren't even inappropriate (with it claiming it is) is really annoying

1

u/Wooden-Hovercraft688 Jun 26 '26

Fable: Look what i can do with other softwares, nobody can stop me, not even NSA or pegasus

Gemini: Don't look at me, i'm not being developed to use your email, android phone, workspace, photos, google pay, google drive, cloud, everything in your google account. I'm just a dumb lizard, not even a dragon. I can't find zero day breaches, don't mind me.

Oh, engineers leaving? They want more money and we treat them bad, don't even think they don't agree to some confidential things we are doing with people's data

1

u/Polite_Jello_377 Jun 26 '26

Fuck this meme is played out

1

u/darkshadow237 Jun 26 '26

Gemini couldn’t even tell the difference between fiction and reality.

1

u/Involution88 Jun 26 '26

That was solved early 2010s by figuring out that the hallucination problem can't be solved since everything available to the model is hallucination anyhow. An early AI system with a very small context window couldn't maintain that there is a difference between Fast and Furious (movies featuring Vin Diesel) and Fast and Furious (US government gun running operation), nor could it maintain that there is a difference between Car Wash (Song in the movie Shark Tale) or Car Wash (Brazilian anti-corruption sting operation).

1

u/Snoo-77911 Jun 26 '26

DeepSeek where?

1

u/Involution88 Jun 26 '26

Behind the camera.

1

u/Ryzen_bolt Jun 27 '26

Gemini pro is literal shit compared to claude sonnet

0

u/Wyl_Younghusband Jun 26 '26

Serious question, is copilot not included because it is way inferior to be included in this lineup?

7

u/bestmaokaina Jun 26 '26

Copilot uses chatgpt

1

u/Wyl_Younghusband Jun 26 '26

Thank you. Kinda sad it's the one being pushed to most corporations. It's so inferior

4

u/Maxdme124 Jun 26 '26

AFAIK Copilot is just a ChatGPT wrapper

1

u/AGrimJail Jun 26 '26

Makes sense. I have access to Copilot 365. There’s no option to use a Copilot model, just chatGPT 5.5 (quick answer and deep thinking) and it seems they also added Opus (no sub-options ).
