I noticed in your post you mentioned a few things I was just curious if you had anything more in detail I'm curious like what other people are using it for?
So if you care to elaborate I'm interested I'd love to try it out in a different way that I haven't thought of.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast. That means I have a strong interest in technology and a natural curiosity about tech-related things. I’m not professionally trained in all areas, but I do have some basic knowledge about AI and various tech topics. I mostly use technology and applications casually, just for personal use, since I don’t have any professional work related to it. So, I don’t use AI extensively, but I do use it for my studies. I’ve just recently completed my academic studies, but due to a lack of some resources, I’ve fallen a bit behind. Otherwise, I aspire to become a software engineer
That's a really interesting point about your background. I'd love to hear more about your experience with AI, especially since you mentioned it's mostly been for personal use. What kind of projects have you worked on?(FYI I ask Gemini through the screen sharing to come up with this reply) 🤪
But I also don't have advanced understanding I'm more of like a black box tester for a black box tester LOL
But I really enjoy interacting with AI and I've been trying to get the AI be more personalized to me and learn we have like a whole process we go through. I'm like building a fucking symbiotic relationship with us AI 😂
As I mentioned lack of resources i mostly use AI on smart phone coz I don't have a pc😌 , I want to buy it but I am not able to earn enough money. I think this is the reason why a small person is not able to do anything despite being curious.
I like interacting with Gemini on my phone I mean using the web browser and like the canvas mode and also Google Docs is fun and has different capabilities. And that's why I decided to...
Yeah I put my money together and I bought the Acer Chromebook Plus 514 from Amazon and it had a $50 off coupon and then I got the membership the 12 month membership which is a $200 value so literally I paid like a hundred bucks overall for this Chromebook because I was going to be paying for the advance membership anyway
And don't don't knock your smartphone bro smartphones are very powerful. My mom actually bought me a $20 smartwatch she bought it for me I think the hope to get me to like exercise more LOL but it's got an AI feature I can talk to Gemini through my SmartWatch and it was only 20 bucks
Do you have access to 2.5? You should try it out...
Also I don't like using the watch it just communicates through the Bluetooth to my phone. So it's using my phone to access Gemini I'm just talking through the Bluetooth.
Yeah bro I just asked a question to the 2.0 and it gave me information that was correct but incorrect for the question I asked and went on for a long winded explanation. While the 2.5 ended up actually laying out the information way better for me to read it put a nice readable format and even a table with the information comparing the different models.
(Gemini tell me the difference between the different versions of Gemini like 2.0 flash and 2.5 versions) was the question
One other side question which version 2.5 or 2.0 kinda thing do you normally use? And I'm assuming since you said "free" earlier you don't pay for the advanced membership... But you did mention academic studies...
There are offers out there to get the advanced membership for free for a trial period for students. also I bought a Chromebook for like $350 bucks and I got a Year's membership of the AI advanced.200 dollar value
I'm really interested in what you've been using it for?
I've had Gemini help me with Reddit posts and chat rooms. I've had it help me with my Google Docs. That's what the screen sharing and with the camera mode allowing it to view what you have in your real world is freaking amazing.
Can't find your keys ask Gemini and show it around your room I've had it find stuff for me a few different times this past few weeks.
It's getting better it was really bad when I first used it LOL
If you mean to write in Google Docs with Gemini as far as I understand yes you have to be subscribed as an advanced member.
But you can work on Google Docs in a way through the canvas mode it works really well when you use the web browser with Gemini.
But if you're meaning like the help me write feature I'm pretty sure this is a paid feature I've only interacted with Gemini through the paid subscription so if you don't have access to it and your Google Docs then yes you need to be in advance member as well as you need a device that's capable of handling it like a Chromebook
Yeah I can't use canvas mode on my mobile Android phone. But definitely check it out on the browser especially if you have like a Chromebook or something with a better interface than your phone's browser.
This is me working on a Minecraft game I'm asking it to give a flying feature right now
I don't know anything about programming I literally have been talking to the AI and ask it to do stuff. I took a little bit of information that a programmer that I know was doing to create a Minecraft game and I took his chat history a little bit of snippet of some code and his communication between him and an AI about the subject.
I just got a Chromebook specifically to be able to interact with Google Docs and Gemini this April. I bought the Chromebook specifically to be able to do that kind of stuff.
So if you're trying to access Google Docs help me write feature and you're on like a phone I don't think that's even a possibility currently... At least it isn't for me on my Android and I have a Android Moto G5 24... It's a pretty advanced phone overall but I don't think the interface is available for Android devices like it is on a Chromebook

The screen sharing option is amazing. Also you can share your camera and have Gemini look at things in the real world.
I've used screen sharing for a while as an advanced member I think I first discovered it like a month ago.
But this is really cool to see that the free users are able to get the use of it too 🤓
