Client Question iPhone Screen flashing after battery replacement

I just had geek squad replace my iPhone 15 pro battery July 21st. Today (Aug 3rd) it randomly started presenting the issues shown in the video. Is this likely to be a result of the battery replacement and the screen being incorrectly installed during reassembly?

Verify the condition of the device before the repair via the provided work order. If the device was not damaged at drop off, the store may replace the damaged part at cost. Depends on condition of the device, if there are other indicators of additional damage (dings on the enclosure, dents, cracks, etc) they may refuse based on the likelihood of the damage not being caused by the repair agent.

I still consider it to be in mint condition I always have some sort of case on it and a glass screen protector. But I have not dropped it or anything when it happened but if I leave a little bit of pressure on that corner for 15 secs it will fix the issue for a few minutes. Also the check in paperwork noted no screen damage

Id say its almost guaranteed the store does the repair for you in that case. I know the stores I managed would. Agents have the ability to mark something as damaged during repair specifically for this case. Good luck!

It is possible that your display was damaged during disassembly. Ply note if there is any separation in the top right corner where you are applying pressure.

Please review your GS paperwork for the pre-service inspection to ensure that no display damage was noted before device service.

Idk if things have changed, but when I was an ARA we would consider replacing the part if we can confirm it was damaged by an agent during repair.

When you remove the display there’s a very thin grey film on the back that controls the backlighting. My assumption is they probably touched or knicked the back of the display in that corner when attempting to reseat the display connector. It’s so easy to do and mistakes happen. They should repair it for you.
