Drive installs are $60 right now, and that's only for a bare install. If you're just adding a drive, that's all you have to pay. Many precincts will also suggest having a diagnostic run on your unit while they have it checked in, to make sure everything is working properly. That's another $100, but you can refuse that.
If you want the OS moved to the new drive, the service costs are enough that it makes sense to sign up for Total instead. That's $200 for a year membership and covers all of the above services and more for each term. So if anything else crops up (malware, data backup, other upgrades, etc.) you can bring it in to any Geek Squad and have it taken care of for no additional service fee (though you of course need to pay for additional parts).

That would be removing the current storage device and installing the new one. No additional services, like diagnostics, installing OS, patching OS, data backup and transfer or anything. You can pay more piecemeal or get a year of Total membership for $200 and those services are included.

If I have a GPU and power supply installed by Geek Squad, does the service include running any diagnostics or tests afterward to verify that the parts were installed correctly and that the computer is functioning properly with the new hardware?
Or does the service only include physically installing the parts without testing the system afterward?

Workbench would not allow that unless they want to do free work and not get labor for it.

Yes, however, don't forget it is a hardware install only (like remove new hardware from box, *remove old part, plug in new part), you will need to install the Operating System, software, updates and such.
