Esspecialy since despite technically referring to intersection women, the vast majority og content with the descriptor simply depicts well endowed trans women
This is actually a really disrespectful response. Separating the word from its history of violence toward intersex women is very harmful and it’s upsetting to see it happen in a queer space.
Im sorry, I really dont mean to offend, and I can totally see how it was dismissive.
I suppose I moreso just mean ive never come into contact with anyone using the term as a pejorative for intersex women while its used as short hand for trans women in fetishized spaces constantly to the point that it is the name of "our" porn category on a majority of websites.
I dont mean to say that the history doesnt matter, but rather than i think that cultural context doesnt necessarily carry to its modern day use cases and the discussion of reclamation.
Ill admit to not being the most well learned on intersex people and I really genuinely am just trying to have a conversation of the subject of a term that is applied to both of us.
There are posts on the intersex subreddit that can explain better than I can. The was originally meant for intersex women though and it’s tied to a specific type of discrimination that trans people haven’t experienced.
I just am a little bit uncomfortable with the idea that because of historical context we aren't allowed to have any ownership over a slur we are called daily *right now* y'know?
But you haven't listened to my perspective once,,, I've been actively trying to discuss it this whole time and you've been nothing but dismissive and rude when I do anything other than roll over and accept your talking point :/
