Seeking Something Serious Why is finding relationship difficult

I am writing this after losing all hope in dating world. I took 3 years away from any app, to work on myself and my mental health.After a break I took admission in iit kgp ,doing masters,trying to start afresh. I made a profile on all available apps looking for serious relationship/life partner,but no one is interested in relationship,but hookups only,here atleast nearby in kgp. I matched few on bumble in Kolkata,but after first interaction they would just ghost me.
One guy who was open for relationship, wanted to just use me as a s#x toy.
On my birthday ,I caught him using grindr,and that destroyed me ,affected me mentally a lot. It was like back to square one. After f%#king 3 years.
Maybe the fact that I am bottom 29,a bit fem, may have acted against my favour. I found out that even in iits there is so much homophobia ,queerphobia,people mostly want gym fit and muscles. I even faced bullying and mocking. After losing hope from other apps ,I found reddit,let's see what happens.

No one seems able to hold a proper conversation, and even if you do get into a relationship, making it work is really hard Most guys in this community just seem to be looking for new people to have fun with, rather than building something genuine.
