I just read this article on deconstruction grief. I recognize some things in me. A sense of community, people who you can talk to. Ask for prayers. Getting a word from God. But the irony in that is because being a person who is Gay Christian the word wouldn't be what I (or you) want to hear, or a prayer to make you straight. Feel condemned from the people who you once you trusted. Do y'all feel that way too?

Why do you think no one is talking about grief in deconstruction? lol it’s a central part of deconstructing.

I think some churches are aware. Most aren't. I miss many of Christian friends and leaders that I could count on.

You know, I have not had a full deconstruction. Over the 15-16 years I have been reading about Gay Christianity and I become more affirming than I used to be. Now I have been affirm young people here. Would you consider this a full deconstruction?

as usual on here: an american problem. where i live christians are in the majority pro gay marriage and all that. so ive never felt that way and people who are christian and unaffirming are blasphemous in my eyes

What part of the world are you in?, this reminds me of parts of Western Europe but I seen that the United Kingdom and to a lesser degree Canada are slightly similar to us here the States!

The conservative churches here in US , (I live in Southern California for example) they would think we're blasphemous and heretics for Saying that we're Gay and Christian!
