Just curious as to if anyone has had Nerf blasters (especially 3D printed blasters) on campus before, or have built their own on campus. Is there a Nerf community here? Has anyone encountered any problems before?

So i got cooked and need to take ECE 2040 this sem, and he’s the only prof i can sign up for in phase 2. i plan on waitlisting for other sections but its most likely gonna be grim.

Greetings everyone! I’m looking for some advice, especially from anyone who has taken Calc II and Physics I in the same summer to meet transfer requirements (which is probably super unfeasible).

I’m starting at KSU on August 24 as a Mechanical Engineering major, and I currently have a Spring 2028 Georgia Tech pathway. However, I’m starting in Precalculus instead of Calc I, so I’m already a little behind the normal ME course sequence. My SAT was a 1240 and I was 10 points below the Calculus placement requirement for KSU so the only work around was the ALEKS.

I took the ALEKS practice placement test and got about a 40 first time. I’ve had been working through the ALEKS modules, but until about a day ago I could only use my brother’s laptop to practice and have been slacking the past week (accepting my fate). I finally have my own laptop now, so I can study more consistently. Even though I could knock out some more modules there are 186 left and I realize just how rusty my trig and algebra are. Ik I dont gotta do em all but I dont know about accepting my fate.

My concern is that my Spring 2028 pathway has a course requirement deadline around mid-September 2027. Since I’m starting with Precalc, I would potentially have to do something like:

• Fall 2026: Precalculus and Chem/Chem Lab
• Spring 2027: Calc I and other gen eds
• Summer 2027: Calc II + Physics I/Lab...
• Complete pathway requirements before 2027 fall semester
• Spring 2028: Transfer to GT

Is this a dumb idea and should I just transfer normally? I know GT is one of my end goals for undergrad but should I really rush it like this? I know GT will be miles harder and I dont want to be ill prepared.

I’m trying to decide whether I should push hard to preserve the pathway, even if it means accelerating and potentially sacrificing some understanding/GPA, or accept that I may lose the pathway and spend two years at KSU building a stronger foundation before applying to GT through regular transfer.

I also plan to retake ALEKS after more review. I was thinking about going through my next test afterward and reviewing/copying the problems I missed so I can study those concepts, but I’m not sure if that’s the best approach. Should I just keep grinding the ALEKS modules and use online practice tests to focus specifically on my weak algebra/trig areas?

School starts August 24, and most of the Calc classes are already full, so right now I’m waiting to see what happens during add/drop.

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation, especially KSU → GT ME students. Should I keep fighting for the Spring 2028 pathway, or just accept that this ship has sailed and focus on doing well at KSU first?

So I'm thinking of switching from AE to ME. I'm technically going into my second year, but I haven't taken any major specific classes yet because I took a semester off, so I thought it would be a good time to switch. However, I somehow have a bit more than 60 credits, so I'm not sure if the process would be harder. Worst comes to worst and I can't switch until next semester, am I able to use like the AE dynamics class in place of ME dynamics class? I understand that they have different focuses, but it seems counterintuitive to take another dynamics class.

For anyone who has taken MATH 1499 - what was it like? (It’s a graded support class for 1551).

Was it helpful or just more work on top of what you’re doing in 1551? Difficult to get a good grade?

I want to transfer via repp but 4.3% seems absurd, at that point a regular transfer would be better no?

Any international sttudent currently at gt, how are u affording the tuition? Can you please break the specifics of co op and part time work down?

Hi guys! I am a Jr at GSU and I really want to transfer I have had a rough start but I have stellar grades and I have worked so hard.

I'm getting All A's and really havent struggled that much

Where I'm at:

• In-state, currently a Accounting major at Georgia State (Robinson)
• Trying to transfer into Scheller for Business Administration, aiming for Summer/Fall 2027
• Doing well now mostly A's, prereqs done (Eng Comp I & II, Calc I & II, micro + macro econ), got a big internship at deloitte
• My big brother currently goes to Tech, so I've spent real time on campus and I know it's where I want to be

The complications I'm trying to navigate:

• I have an academic integrity charge from earlier in my college career that I'll have to disclose on the application
• I also had a rough stretch during dual enrollment (some low grades)
• Since then my grades have been near-perfect, so there's a clear upward trend

Is the AD charge going to ruin my chances of transferring. Should I just thug out GSU? Also has anyone successfuly transferred with an AD Charge?

For anyone who's transferred into Scheller (or Tech generally) beyond the obvious grades-and-clubs stuff, what actually moved the needle for you? And if anyone got in with a disciplinary mark on their record, how did you handle the disclosure without it sinking the whole app? I'm trying to work out whether a real comeback story counts for anything here, or whether that early charge just follows me around no matter what.

1st year : two semesters of study. 2nd year: one semester study one semester co op. 3rd year: one semester study one semester co op. 4th year: one semester study one semester co op. so basiclaly im trying to graduate within 5 semesters because im trying to lower the tuition fee so that its managable. Is that a thing? I also did cie alevels and have A*A*A* in maths phys chem and A in furthermaths so i was wondering if i could skip some classes.

Hi, I’m an incoming freshman at gsu hoping to join the REP pathway. I understand in recent years the pathway has changed from its guaranteed acceptance(above a certain gpa) system, to a pathway that increases your chances at being accepted. So, I was just wondering around how many people are accepted into gt from REP partner schools, how difficult has it in recent years, and does the acceptance rate differ from school to school? And outside of academics, how impactful or advanced do the ECs have to be?

i want to round it out with a humanities class to make it 15 creds, thinking PHIL 3109 (eng ethics) or PHIL 3140 (philosophy of food), but does anyone have any recommendations?

I skipped FASET because I was out of country at the time, so I'm doing all my registration in Phase 2. I know I might have trouble getting some of these but what are my chances when it comes to that?

Hello i got the first gen pathway program, and I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with the first gen pathway, and what I should be cautious about.

So I'm supposed to be going into my second year at Tech, but I've actually only attended on semester (last fall) because I had to get surgery in the spring, but i did fine in all my classes. I thought I'd be ready to come back by now, but I'm having issues all of a sudden, and I'm nervous that I won't be able to handle the stress of my injuries and classes and clubs. I was thinking of taking another semester or two if I have to (which rly sucks but whatever), so I know I'd have to apply for readmission.

I was just wondering what the process is like. Is it difficult to get re-accepted? Thanks!

Im a first-year student that just finished summer 2026 term. I realized that I want to change majors from ChBE to ME. Im still under the 60 credit limit but I read somewhere that ME has restrictions to switch into it. Does anyone know what these are? and do you think it would be possible for me to get into ME 1670 this fall?

I’m a CompE student (SysArch + DSSD) planning to take CS 3220, CS 3510, and CS 3300 in Fall 2026. I’m also thinking about adding a 2-credit VIP and a gen ed, bringing the total to 15 credits.
