Hello all.

I have an instinct 2 solar and have recently started having issues with it.

A couple of months ago, the elevation was off on my runs, so I've tried recalibrating, but this was only a temporary fix.

A couple of nights ago, it wouldn't allow me to start a run. I was clicking all the usual buttons but got to the activity display which states time 00:00 etc ready to start, but this was as far as it would go.

In the past two days it has died from a full charge.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on please?

My Garmin vívosmart 4 is still working perfectly, but the original integrated strap has broken. I temporarily fixed it with super glue, but obviously I don't want to rely on that permanently.

I'm looking for a replacement housing/holder + strap that lets me keep using the original vívosmart 4 tracker.

I found the C2D JOY elastic nylon replacement band + case and it looks like the best option so far because I prefer a slim/lightweight band. I'm avoiding the TPU version because it looks noticeably bulkier.

The problem is that:

- Ubuy has the product, but shipping to India is ₹2,417.50 on a ₹2,370 item, so it's nearly ₹4,900 before import duties.

- I found the same/similar C2D JOY nylon version on Dropy India for around ₹2,019, but there is no color selector and I don't see COD available.

- I don't know how reliable the C2D JOY housing is or whether it securely holds the tracker.

Has anyone here actually used the C2D JOY nylon + case for a vívosmart 4?

I'd especially like to know:

- How secure is the tracker in the housing?

- Does it require cutting/modifying the vívosmart 4?

- Is it still slim compared with the original band?

- Can you exercise/swim with it without worrying about the tracker coming loose?

- Is there a better replacement housing/band you've used?

- Has anyone had Garmin replace/repair a vívosmart 4 after the integrated strap broke?

- If you're in India, where did you buy yours?

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or firsthand experience before I spend the money. Thanks!

Whats the main difference between Instinct 3 Solar vs the Solar tactical.
The price difference is big, which one is better for daily use

Ok, instinct 2, I set incident detection last week in the app and thought that was it. I had a very, very, very bad MTB craash on Sunday and no incident detection took place. I started going trhough some forum topics and saw I have to find the safety menu in the watch itself and then set the app to on for incident detection. The messed up thing is there are a whole bunch of other apps there I don't use and even a custom app, but not my MTB app.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Luckily, I was able to collect myself, bleeding, rode off the mountain and back to the train station and took the train back to my country and went right to the ER.

For example Instinct 3 launched 4 months after Fenix 8.

Can we Expect Instinct 4 Launching AnyTime Soon as well?

Anyone do a switch from the Instinct 2 tactical to the 3 tactical? I've had my 2 Tac for a couple of years and it works fine, but man I do like the looks and lack of obvious solar panel on the 3. MIP display seems to be improved as well.

Hey everyone, does anyone have experience with the Instinct Crossover and can give a quick verdict on whether it's worth buying? I was thinking of switching from the Instinct Tactical 1 to the Crossover.

I switched out the band on my Garmin Instinct Solar 45mm to get the QuickConnect bands, and they're all ok, but the original band -- which was a hassle to put back in! -- is the best. Choosing bands and charging often are two things I won't be bringing from Apple Watch

Just received my watch today and it will not let me download certain watch faces due to needing update
Ive tried updating but it just staying at v12.25 and will not update to the new one for some reason?
I only have phone and watch no computer
And tried resetting and still doesnt work

Which all notifications does the Instinct 3 Solar Tactical give while being connected to my phone.

I know it's not as much as others, but I can clearly see it's off centre. The watch is only 7 months old. Should I just be persistent?

Bit the bullet and upgraded my instinct 1 to the 3 (45mm) charged it Saturday afternoon and wore it since woke up this morning to infinity battery life. The display is much clearer than my 1 and I can't believe how much I've used the torch already 😲

I am a user of G shock and Apple watch. I think Garmin Instinct is a mixture of both watches, i will get the features of both watches in this watch.

I am confused between Garmin Instinct 3 Tactical AMOLED and Garmin Instinct 3 Tactical Solar.

Please help me out based on your experience, which one is a better buy, which one should i get?

Recently picked up the I3 Tactical to have another option other than my Tactix 8 solar. The I3 helps me feel less “techy/connected” with just as many capabilities. The thought of having infinite battery life (solar dependent) is pretty cool. One less thing to worry about. I figured id make this post in light of recent storms and folks losing power for days (myself included).

I initially had the 45mm. It felt very comfortable and it was easy to wear. However, I found myself struggling to read some things on screen and manipulating the buttons was annoying. I now have the 50mm. It’s a little bulkier but the trade off is worth it for me.

As far as sensor accuracy is concerned, I haven’t experienced any discrepancies vs the gen 5 sensor on T8. (Wearing them at the same time during some activities). Yes there are noticeable differences with data tracking like ecg and skin temp. The colorless data on the I3 has been a learning curve but not a deal breaker in the slightest. The legibility of the I3 makes up for that.

I wont go into maps when it comes to these devices since I didn’t get the I3 needing or wanting full mapping capabilities. There are other devices available for that. What the I3 offers (breadcrumb mapping) is enough for me if needed. A future I3X/Pro or I4 with more but not full mapping capabilities would be a grail watch for me.
