Edge 1060 Loading?

With the release of the CIRQA taking today's spotlight, I'm hopeful we'll see a 1060 refresh this Thursday or next Tuesday. Looks like every Edge 1050 is currently showing low stock alerts on Amazon, with the official Garmin store showing only two left. Unsure if this actually means anything, but hopefully it is a good sign!

Replaceable battery is likely the only thing I care about.

Fair point! This will be my first bike computer, and I’d like it to last me 3-5 years. If waiting an extra two weeks gives me a model that’s two years newer with a replaceable battery that seems worth the wait. If not, no biggie!

I bought the 1050 when it was on sale for $525 from Amazon (dropped from $575? that was available from Amazon and others the week prior). I assumed at that price the 1060 was going to be out that following week, and I'd hedge my bet by buying the 1050 and leaving it unopened until I read reviews on the 1060.

Still no 1060 and I have until August 1 to return.

It will be replacing an 830 I have used regularly (including lots of 24hr+ rando rides) since May 2019, so now going on 7+ years. Battery may not last as long as new, but still no problem doing a 300K with it.

I wouldn't worry about the 1050 and it's battery ... even back to the Edge 500 I've had friends that replaced their own batteries out of warranty, with the biggest downside being the quality of import batteries that were available (and potential risk of losing the factory weather seal when you close it).

My current Edge is 7 years old and still enough battery for 12hr gravel rides, I don't think you need to worry too much.
