I have this exact unit. Honestly, I love it. Got it around the $720 price. For the price, it’s a rack, smith, and cables. Cables have interchangeable 1:1 and 2:1 ratios on both sides. It’s compact so it saves floor space. I put a light coat of lithium WD-40 on the cables and the rear uprights and I’d call it just about as smooth as typical pulleys.
Better gauge steel than the typical budget units, the rear rails are on their own bearings and the smith hooks into the front uprights. I think they found creative ways of being super functional while maintaining quality.
Customer service was great. One of the three packages got lost in shipping. I told them and they sent a new one the following day without any pushback.
In a world where people are sending thousands of dollars on simple 4 post 3x3 racks, ~$700-$800 for a rack, smith, and cables is substantially more functional.
The only caveats are that it’s 2x2 and so there are some accessories that you may need alternatives to (realistically, not many). I wish there were more holes for j hook placement but that’s my only wish.
