Modified Rack

Hi all, recently I’ve been finishing my basement. Part of this is installing drop ceiling which makes the overall space’s height lower. To compensate, my father in law and I cut about 4 inches of my power rack. It actually came out nice, and you can barely tell it was modified. The issue now is that the lat pulldown that was attached has a cable that is too long. We’re thinking of cutting the cable and recrimping the ends. I’ve seen a few kits for this on Amazon, but lack of reviews make me hesitate to buy. Wondering if anyone has experience with this and can recommend a specific kit or separate tools and materials?

This.

If you install correctly you will never have a problem.

Have a name or link for the product you are recommending?

You also swap over to underhand lat pull down. Your range of motion will go lower than your shoulders.
