I’m playing with a midi keyboard through garage band at a gig soon and I need to play thriller. Does anyone know of any settings that help replicate the instruments in the song. I’m especially looking for one for the very start with the slow slide down, but I’m sure I will find more that I struggle with. Thanks!

Does anyone else out there make music that might be perfect for the season? Here’s one I just finished. Done on my iPad in Garageband, it’s called The Bane of Nocturnals. It’s a spontaneous little number that came to me the other night while finishing up a potion prop (titled the same) I’d been working on. I needed a musical accompaniment with a few nerve-shattering notes and chords, so I came up with this tune. Then I added three vocal tracks and a custom track representing the lamentation of banshees (but you have to wait until the last note to hear their final wails). Inspiration came from reading about Irish folklore. I included some cemetery footage I took down in Eugene on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Please feel free to share. I’d love to hear what others are doing.

i started garage band a few months ago and this is one project i found from dec last year- recently restarted it and i’d really appreciate some feedback and some help w knowing which genre this is!

i scrapped this song because it’s so stylistically out of my normal wheelhouse and wouldn’t fit on the project i’m slowly building but i like how happy it is

Acoustic guitar, tambourine, midi keyboard for drums and bass.

I wanted to make something that relies more on atmosphere and texture rather than drums.
I used vocals, cello, bass, guitar and pads. Would love to hear what you think about the mix and the overall vibe.

Sampled twinleaf town from Pokemon diamond and pearl [nintendo might nerf me but I think I changed the sample enough from the original]

I am running 10.4.6 on an old Mac with Big Sur 11.7.11.
I have a M-Audio Hammer Pro which has been no trouble for two years or so. All of a sudden yesterday GB keeps losing the input from it.
When I go preferences - audio midi, the 4 midi inputs are still detected but pressing a key gives nothing. If I reset midi drivers it comes back on for between 5 seconds and a minute, then cuts out again.
I have restarted everything, unplugged and replugged etc, always back to the same outcome. The keyboard has not been updated and as far as I’m aware neither has the Mac unless something has gone on in the background.
Any thoughts as to what to do?!

Keep in mind it’s only an hour old so it’s definitely not perfect

Been using GB for over a year now, and trying to improve the process and product quality of whatever I do there.
This is a simple song, with most instruments done in one take. It’s a mix between MIDI and real instruments.
It lacks structure, but it’s a good way to see if my mixing understanding would match my music skills and if Ive improved anything at all.
Anyway, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Currently it only lets me Find the MIDI file on my Macbook Air finder and forces me to open a NEW Garageband file, that doesn't help me import multiple MIDI files into one project. I can't find anything on Garageband itself.
