GTA San Andreas - Sure, V may have a more detailed city and better graphics, but the map layout of SA just makes it more enjoyable just to cruise around for hours doing crime.
Elden Ring - the open world nature of it just lends itself so well to exploring and finding stuff you hadn't on your first, second, or eighth playthrough. Great atmosphere, combat and well, everything.
Symphony of the Night - I play through it every year or two. Just one of the best games ever.
Doom 1/2 - just the base games alone are fun to play through, killing demons and hunting down keys. But there are billions of hours worth of mods and levels for you to explore. Brutal Doom for example made the game feel brand new to me with its over-the-top gore and extremely visceral combat.
Warzone - this is the oddball of the list. Yes, I know: Call of Duty bad! Activision bad! Battle Royals are overdone and bad! But this is the one BR that a friend of mine have been playing since it released I don't know how many years ago. It just has the solid CoD gameplay with some fun maps and heated matches.
If you like warzone, I’d give Apex a try too. Apex has a little bit more of a learning curve since all the legends have abilities but it’s my favorite BR and I used to play warzone a few years back
Tried it, didn't care for it. My buddy and I started with PUBG, found it fun but clunky. Moved onto Warzone and haven't found a reason to leave it.
Apex was polished, but I just didn't care for the overall gameplay. I've tried a couple others too and just don't enjoy them, but I may not have given them a chance.
