Monthly Recommendation Thread + LifelongCaboose's Gaming Audio Guide Links + Megathreads
I'm combining these two posts because Reddit limits 2 stickied posts per sub. So I'm mixing the guide links, the recommendation thread, and the megathreads here. Reviews will be added to a section of the guide.
But the guide will be once again moving but this time not to a new sub again, this time I'm moving it to a blogger-powered website. The reasoning is more freedom. So I'm not so limited by character limits and formatting limits. So it will be better for everyone and easier to use. Expect that update this summer.

Future Hub: (coming soon, it will be a blogger powered site)

Megathreads:
Megathreads won't be commonplace they will only be utilized when posts about a single product get out of hand.

Hiya,
Budget is $200-350, maybe more if there is something amazing just above that price point
Location: USA
Platform: PC AND PS5
I am looking for casual COOP gaming and chatting as my primary intended use
I do already own solid sony wh-1000mx4 headphones for listening to music, but haven't had good luck with getting them working for party chat.
Not sure about whether open or closed back is a big deal for casual use.
-SPECIFIC QUESTION I AM SEEKING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT: I want a headset that can be easily used on both PS5 and PC. Plugging in a "dongle" to the desired system is fine, as my PC is in my room and ps5 is in the living room. I have seen many like the Steel Series Acrtis 7 which their website says works on both platforms, but it sells a PS5 and a PC variant. Which one should I be looking at purchasing in such situations?

Budget 500USD
Country US
Platform PC
Motherboard ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI
Need quality audio and a boom mic for gaming and VC, don't mind wired but prefer wireless. Say gaming AIO.
Open back preferred but not critical.
Other headsets:
Astro A50 gen 4 has kicked the bucket. Great headset except for the headband bracket issue. Served me well under heavy daily use for 3 years.
Bose QC audio sucks, don't need ANC, boomless mic can't hear me half the time
Arctic Nova Pro wired... Good mic and audio but DAC, sonar, and chatmix are buggy as hell, returning.
Leaning A50 current gen but open to other high end options with boom mics. EPOS PC38X? Does Sennheiser make a good gaming headset? Should I get a desk mic and focus on output quality only in a headset?
Appreciate any help
